Anyone else have windows 10 and it goes into a repair loop when starting up?

I've had to reset my computer a few times now, and lose alot of stuff each time.

Any help in this is appreciated

I have had the same problem a few times in the last month or so. I found that a proper shutdown, ie fully off, seems to solve the problem.

Windows 10 is still very much a work in progress, and as such will be a while before it is totally stable.

The restart that windows does when these problems occur does seem to be a bit useless at time, but patience will be needed.

What is the exact message you get on screen when it does this?

Thanks for the wise words lol.

It comes up with 'kernel lock' then goes into a repair loop

I upgraded to windows 10 on my laptop, I prefer it to the windows 8 but every minute or so a warning box pops up that says something about system. This box immediately disappears but causes some annoying things to happen, for example if watching you tube it tells you that you tube is St full screen (I know, I made it full screen) but some games I play it pauses and minimises them, which is extremely annoying.

Central

I'm guessing that you may need to check that all of your drivers are up to date. When Windows 10 was launched a few hardware components hadn't got their drivers released.

10 has been great for me.

Microsoft has just released the first major update to 10 this month, since its launch. Perhaps this has thrown up incompatible hardware?

I'm not a techie but there are loads on fab.

If you've installed something recently, you could also system restore your pc to a point before you did that. That and ensuring your drivers are up to date - following seeing a similar problem - is my advice.

A kernel lock?

Oh dear , that is pretty bad.

But it's a win10 problem - the kernel is the heart of the operating system.

So, If nothing has changed since your last post - the os needs repair.

If you got win10 on a cd, use that.

Stuck in cd tray and reboot laptop.

If you downloaded ein10, and you only have that one partition:OS - use the Repair disk from when you bought the laptop . Stick in cd tray and reboot

I haven't had that problem no, but I hate Windows 10! Have other problems. Biggest regret that I didn't know about the free roll back option the first 30 days.

being Impulsive does not help, waiting and Haveing patience does help, depending on what software you have got and when downloading new windows its not plain sailing for most people, it would be Interesting to know how many have had no Issues after downloading, depending On what you use you could have googled To see if you had a extended support For your previous os like I did, if I Have to pay later so be it, by then if 10 has still got Issues january 2020, I,ll leave windows all together and get a Mac or apple, hope things get Better for you soon..x
