Police cuts makes it easier for isis.

They was debating yesterday on the news that as the police face cuts, would you be happy to pay extra tax to keep them on the street?

One they interviewed would be happy to pay 10£ extra a month. I think the police is one service they shouldn't cut as that makes a country more vulnerable.

We have enough money. Lol Cameron even complained about cuts to services in his own constituency, he looked like a dick when it was him that made those cuts.

I agree with this, better to focus on prevention as far as possible, and some specialised police teams trained to deal with major incidents.

Whilst police cuts may invariably make it easier for enemies of the state to perpetuate their agenda, may I draw attention to something which has been staring us in the face and which we almost always conveniently ignore:

There is a basic law of nature which in my simple mind goes like this: Live and let live; don't fuck with me and I wont fuck with you.

Let it not be mistaken that by this post I support violence of any sorts. Blowing up a train full of men women and children so as to be heard is not the best way to resolve anything. In the same vain, our forces ocuupying another state/country has brought us nothing but woe!

Loss of life and limb, premature widows in their thousands, lots of money spent etc etc right from Vitnam through to the Gulf Wars and Afghanistan and Iraq and every other thing in between. If any of those moves was the answer, we would all be sipping on cold Pinna Colada by now.

I don't know enough about the logistics to know how much of a difference it would make practically but it would probably make people feel more safe.

In Paris they had increased security quite a bit but the attack last week still happened.

In NYC, before 9/11 there were about 40,000 police officers (almost the same number of troops the UK sent into Iraq in 2003). The US spends the most money on its military by far of any country in the world. It also dumps huge loads of cash into intelligence services. It didn't stop what happened.

We need better strategies, yes. We also need to realize that if someone wants to kill, and has devoted their life to it, they are going to kill.

That's my take on it anyway.

The police could make cuts in other areas butthey always try to scaremonger by cutting frontline staff, as has been said if we paid more and got more police they would just be used as revenue gatherers and as far as safety what can a bobby with a truncheon do against an ak47
