BBC will close the red button service, it is amongst all the cuts they go thru. It have brought us lots of tennis and as well as snooker games. Will it be replaced with another service?

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Content will still be available, but only online, I expect.

Mind you likely to be less sport anyway, judging by the other cuts

It let us select what game to watch like in snooker if many matches was on the same time.

It is not "will close."

The BBC are considering it as a way of reducing costs but no decision has been made yet.

This year's Glastonbury red button coverage was disappointingly sparse.

the way things are going the only sport will be on pay to view TV.

Such a loss to the many avid fans that cannot afford the prices and a gift to the pirates that will offer copies of all this.

Beware the malware, lol.
