Oh go on then, I'll just add to the debt Christmas brings me by having a new sofa, dining table, kitchen, bedroom and probably a new tv to watch the crap on!!

My ex husband decided to strip my oak flooring just before Christmas. He finished the final coat of varnish the day before Christmas Eve.

It's not like having a usable floor is useful, especially that time of year

it's just an ad person's hype playing on people's desire to have a "perfect" Christmas.

Mind you we're having a new bathroom, new loo, new front door and two new windows in time for Christmas. The kitchen is going to have to wait until new year

Back end of house is open to elements, having steels in for new set of doors etc. been & ordered new dining table and chairs ready for everyone at mine again on Christmas Day. Told builders they had better get a move on

Im a Carpet Fitter by trade and ive never understood why this is the busiest time of year. Why would anyone want to but beige and cream carpets down in the winter months
