Ladies...Help?

Hiya!

I have to plan a bachelorette party for my friend. It will be in New York City and it will be for about 10 of us, but I can't decide what event to have that will be memorable but won't be too expensive.

I had an idea of going to a personal cooking class (kind of a joke on the "you're getting married and you'll need to know how to do this" thing) and then going out for drinks in Manhattan afterwards. Does that sound fun, or too frumpy?

Or do you have any other ideas? She already said no to a stripper, so that's out

This kind of stuff seems to be the way forward these days, maybe I am getting old but the mix of both, rather than a 'mad bender' seems much more appealing. Great idea!!

if theyve all known each other a long time how about a photoshoot, makeup pamper party with scrap booking of memories or something..one could be collated as a memory book by friends given to the bride...

or if they all like singing..a sont could be recorded and a

D given as a gift..something that includes but doesnt pressure the others into full participation...ive organised hen nights before but i make them wild..hehehe..want to bounce ideas around, you know where i am xx

We don't all know each other well, so I don't know about the pictures. But the song sounds very interesting. I wonder how expensive that would be in NYC, though...I'll give it a look.

I thought of that, but they aren't that cheap, especially on weekends. I don't think it would be affordable for everyone to go and I don't want to exclude people.

Throw in a trip to the bar with the dancing Cowboys. Not quite strippers cause I'm fairly sure they were all gay but lovely to look at!! It's on W9th and maybe 52nd... left hand side of the road as you're facing Central Park. I'll go trawl my photos for the name of it if it's not too far out for you.

I always think people stress too much about planning a really full agenda of activities on hen parties. If I was with 10 of my friends we could sit in a shed and still have a whale of a time because we'd just be with each other!

I've been on a hen do where we did kind of crafty stuff like making hair accessories. And the cocktail making ones are usually good because there's also alcohol. Note if you're doing anything active probably best not the morning after a heavy night, like the one where we had to learn a dance routine (my worst nightmare anyway) and about 4 people had to rush out to be sick

You'll be in NY, whatever you plan will be great
