Grrrr.

I have to have a moan about the lack of thought that goes into britains roads sometimes.

This morning at Priory Island there was a traffic accident and blocked the road and was pretty serious.

Tonight on my way home from work there was yet ANOTHER accident - a man knocked off a motorbike.

Not sure what happened to him - but it took 4 police cars and an ambulance that pulled over into the petrol station rather than rushing him to hospital - now call me suspicious - but that doesnt bode well in my head.

Now this island has had problems for years as its on the A52, quite busy and on a big cross junction with Nottm University.

WHY oh WHY cant they put traffic lights up - even if only on in rush hour traffic????

They have put stupid speed bumps all up the back roads, and speed camera's further down the road that seems pointless. But they do onthing about this "roundabout".

Shame - as there used to be a Roundabout we called Kamikaze Island as kids, and dared each other to cycle round it - it has now been totally removed and traffic lighted and works a treat.

Do they not learn???

Maybe due to lack or funds or just dumb twats that make the call on what to do have got their heads up there arse and ignore it till people start really complaining about it . As people well know and take the piss but our round about in m.k work fine but yes you get some R.T.C's lol

One thing that always pops into my head when Im stuck in traffic on a motorway or road and there has been an accident....that is, some poor sod is having a worse day than me

These people are getting injured cos of lack of brains and funds

I live fairly close to J14 of the M1. On J14 there is a roundabout which is extremely busy especially at rush hour and has seen many accidents over the years. We now have traffic lights which are used at the busiest times and this seems to have worked well. Like you say, when will they learn and how many accidents does there have to be before they will do something about it.

All comes down to the money again.

Tut Tut Tut - It's no longer an RTA, its a RTC (Road traffic collision) - No such thing as an accident anymore ..

We have several roundabouts where, due to cutbacks, the local authorities no longer, or very infrequently, cut the grass, thus visibility is severely diminished by overgrowing grass and s - just a little extra to make the already difficult job of driving even harder

You want to drive round Grimsby,they're traffic light mad there.Every bloody junction,the towns come to a standstill.

It must be a Hell of a drain on the national grid.

Yet just over the border in Cleethorpes the only traffic lights we have are at crossings.Ace!

Never understood why either Debz... Either that or a tunnel/overpass even..

Just a pain in the bum some days.. and as we have sometimes met potential playmates in the priory at times.. seriously affects possible playtime too lol..
