What is being sexy?

I know we all find different things appealling, so that's not really where I am coming from. I don't mean what things do we find sexy... such as clothes, eyes, shoes and so on.

My thoughts are more around what do we mean by saying something is sexy? What does sexy mean? And more to the point does it mean different things to men and women generally?

some people just seem to have an aura of sexy. I think it's our genes though, recognising other genes as into sexual, but what makes a gene sexy or maybe it's about how many of them are sexy? I feel pretty sure that it is genetic tho.

i think it is one of the attractions of swinging. You get to enjoy the sexy bits and don't have to know about those put off unsexy bits of a person.

You can cope with those if you have strong feelings (I don't say love cos I don't understand what this is) but if you haven't those unsexy bit, well u just don't wanna know do ya?

I rarely call anyone sexy - but the term itself, some people just have something about them - it doesn't have to be a smutty attitude or revealing clothes - some people just have a presence.

It might sound weird but I won't define everything that turns me on as 'sexy'. For me sexy is something not necessarily directly related to sex but makes them more appealing

I don't think I have ever heard a man say "I wear this to feel sexy" (shut up View!).

a sway,

dress

style

tone of voice

eyes

there, problem solved.

Seriously though, its all in the eye of the beholder, theres common themes but its what makes you go mmmmmm and not urggggh as one person already stated.

I've been thinking about this all day and that's about as close to it as I can think of.

Sexy for me is something that triggers my mind to make my bits tingle. I would never call myself sexy, not in a million years but there are many descriptives I wouldn't use. There are also many I would, that's just not one of them.

Personally I think it’s just a shortened version of sexually appealing and can be used to describe anything really that’s sexually appealing to a person.

I would absolutely call myself sexual. Without a doubt. Sexy or sexually appealing not a chance. I'm not sure if there's a difference, but in my head there is.

sexy to me isn't a thing... it's a feeling.... it's and unexpected pleasure that makes me in turn feel good inside, happy and stimulated. There fore this can be caused by many things... a look, a smell, an item, a person, a memory anything really that gives me the above feeling... thats sexy to me
