We've tried that. All appear to be 'just looking, not wanting to meet'! Is it us?! If you don't want to actually meet and just want to look, why not go on a porn site!

I don't want to meet people who message me in general. I know the sort of people I like to meet when I find them. I don't want a porn star so why would I go to a porn site?

It may well be that it's just the easiest response so as not to cause offence in this highly sensitive arena.

No-one wants to hear they're not attractive to someone they like. Just makes everyone feel shit so surely it's less personal and more tactful just to say 'I'm not meeting at the moment but have fun. x'

It's working very well for me.

There are lots of socials on, especially at this time of year. Have a look in the Meets forum and see if there's something on near you. There's no pressure to play. Socials are just that unless they're in a club but even then, you don't need to do anything you don't want to do. Meet some new people and have a beer. It's all very civilised. Honest!

I guess you just pluck up the courage to go along. The first time is always daunting but you can do it and you'll be surprised how much fun you have. The people I've met at socials over the years have been awesome. You can put lots on paper but it's much easier to see a spark in person. It suits me cause there's no pressure.

I said to my son once whilst at the spinnaker tower . The glass will hold your weight it's in the floor it is not good business sense for people to stand on it and fall to the ground

Same goes to clubs parties and Socials the people that run these successfully are very good at it . And those that run them badly soon fail very quickly . It's just a case of taking that first step and when it's done you wonder what the he'll you were worried about
