I give up

So it's been months and months now, I've striped of weight, made parts bigger, done everything people have suggested, tried new approach and still this old Triumph just won't run for more that 20 minutes before it cuts out. Just going to give it up as a bad thing. So sad to see something so beautiful go to waste

His Triumph. It's either a car or a motor bike.

Brighton - even Hove!

More a failure than a triumph

If you've used parts for a T140 that could be the problem as they were later and were 750cc

may be something simple as its getting upto temperature,

check the fuel line route's not getting to warm and causing evaporation.

faulty spark plug failing at temperature?

Iv tried everything been rebuilt 4 times more new than old parts, it fires up sweet runs and sounds like a dream for 20 minutes or so then just stops, tried different makes and size plugs, even mmodified a rocket radiator to see if it was over heat and still the same

Part it out and use the cash to get something decent like a Street triple or Daytona.

Something is not right there.

T140 - mid 70s 750 cc

T120 - 60s 650 cc

Triton = Triumph engine in a Norton frame

All aircooled from that era

I've no idea what's up with it, if you've stripped and rebuilt it then you probably know more than any of us but thought it was a good opportunity to show off my old thunder cat

Bit of a long shot but, is the fuel tank breather clear?

I once had an Escort that would run for a similar amount of time then just stop. After days of checking, swapping & swearing, I found that if I opened the fuel cap, there was a huge suction of air into the tank. After this & if you left the fuel cap off, it would run no problem. Checked breather hose & bingo! Pipe collapsed & not doing its job.

Its worth a try fella! Good luck with it.
