Did anyone else go to the chemist with the intention on getting condoms but bottle out at the last minute?

I bought some once and the male server made inappropriate comments like "you're gonna have fun with these " and wouldn't give it a fucking rest. Never went back to that shop as a result.

Still get embarrassed - chuckle lots at my recent trip to Sainsbugs when my basket was baby oil, condoms and voddy - well, I had a party to go to! Considered buying other stuff to make it less obvious, but then went with 'chuck it in the fuck it bucket'! Trollop!

nope i never get embarassed - my friends sent me to shops for threadworm tabs, headlice treatments, mil asked me to get facial hair removal cream - or maybe im just a mug

Well the good thing about how attitudes change on the road from our stuffy, Victorian attitudes; through the scary "AIDS ads" of the 80's; via the more enlightened 21st Century is that we know that everyone should enjoy their sex life rather than not embrace it openly & take sexual health seriously.

I used to be to shy to go in a sex shop but I was in Dundee for a day and we went into Ann summers. I thought town no one knows me everybody's in their for same thing but there was lots of snigger from girls in the shop and even the girl that served me gave me that awkward giggling smile.

I always just buy online now it's easy er and cheaper xx

Yeah.

My mother in law to be took us both into the local town to pick up some bits,we were both village kids with the nearest chemist ten miles away.

After a hushed argument that I lost, that never changed, I wandered into the chemists for some condoms.

Neither of us had bought any before, this was nearly thirty years ago, so I was a tad trepidatious.

To my horror it was a female assistant, after much mumbling I came out with my trophy plus two hundred paracetamol which I shook under said prospective mother in laws nose.

She wasn't fooled.

It was well worth it though.

We've always found the women who work in Ann Summers are very helpful and not awkward at all its awful that they sniggered when you were in there they won't last long in that environment. There's a branch of Nice n Naughty in Brighton and they're really friendly and chatty it's a pleasure to go in.

I chuck them in my trolley with my other toiletries do they scan fairly unnoticed. Once I made the mistake of slipping some in when the kids weren't looking. Got to the till & eldest said a bit too loud "condoms mother???"

I remember doing this once when I was 17, then being embarrassed about having to return a pack of condoms in Japan because they were too small at 21.

It's never phased me always been a case of "yeh I'm getting lucky!"

Brought a pregnancy test too but I think the worst was when my ex asked me to get the morning after pill I was like they ain't gonna sell me a morning after pill and I was right they just laughed at me and said bring the girl in we have to do some tests
