I think you will find that the french forces believe that all the people who carried out last night's attacks are all dead anyway.

No believe it or not, there are other options than death or a pat on the head.

The reason we have civilisation is because we have mutually agreed rules and stick to them. Even when the going gets tough.

If we abandon our values and rules and just start reacting wildly without thought for the bigger picture then we descend to the level of the barbarians.

We only have one source of solace, we are civilised and do not act like this. Let us not abandon that lest we become barbarians.
