Watching it unfold on Sky. My heart goes out to all caught up in this awful situation.

The words of a UB40 song come to mind..The only way to end all wars is to put down your guns and walk away'. Can't see that happening in my lifetime.

I know.....

Wait for it. There'll be folk on here telling us that the jihadists didn't mean it.

Can't say anything on here without people feeling the need to over power other people because they feel their point of view is the bee all & end all...

My heart really does go out to every one in Paris. It must be so frightening. Can't imagine what it must be like.

No. I can't see it happening either.

It really is horrific. I've got bbc news on the tv now.

The police & army seem to be doing a great job though, they should be proud of their forces. X

You know having a dig at other people while talking about so many people who have died is really crass.

Who has claimed responsibility then? Was it isis? I've been watching it on sky news not the BBC. Was always a fair bet it would be Islamic extremists responsible though given recent history and events in Paris with the Charlie Hebdo attacks earlier in the year.

Could say the same for the ones who decided to jump down my throat. At the end of the day there is such a thing as freedom of speech. & as far as I'm aware you don't own the fourm they are for everyone to use. So where does it state that you have the right to tell me what to say?!

Jeez! If you don't like a post don't frighing comment on it. No body forces you to.

Are you feeling vindicated now? Does it feel good?

If I recall, the people responding to you and others were against the remarks stating that the refugees from countries being bombed were responsible. But then, some of us were mourning what happened without judgement.

Not according to other people on the other thread. But I'm not allowed to comment about that apparently.

Bbc news have just said 2 jihadist terrorists have been shot dead in the Bataclan.

No one stated the refugees were to blame though?!? That's the point exactly. People read & interpreted it to what they wanted so they could have an argument. I see it on these forums every night. If you don't follow the sheep you get struck down.

It's hilarious how you all jump on your high horses.

Its so easy to do with the remarks some people post on here to back up their own agenda.

Those hateful refugees, trying desperately to get away from devastation they had no hand in, somehow become the bogeymen us people, safe and warm in our houses, can hate. They did not cause this, yet they're the ones having their camps burned tonight.

I can't imagine how scary it must be in Paris right now.

And I keep thinking about it happening so close to Christmas. All those families ripped apart. It's heartbreaking.

But I am thankful my mum & sister flew black this afternoon. I'm so glad they had an early flight! Things could have been so different.

Oh right, like i said i didn't watch it. I went to have a look and see if the refugee camp was mentioned but saw they had some live cam going.

I've no TV license so can't watch live TV but wouldn't want to watch something like that anyway. I do like horror movies but not real life terror.

The thing I was wondering about was all the people just strolling up and down the roads, I would have thought they would have the roads cordoned off if there are gunmen still out there ( I havn't heard them mention that though )

The thing I was wondering about was all the people just strolling up and down the roads, I would have thought they would have the roads cordoned off if there are gunmen still out there ( I havn't heard them mention that though )

They've closed the borders but people can move fast all it takes is a couple of mopeds or cars left unlocked and ready before the attack to get miles away befory response teams lock down the area"

Yeah I get that, I just can't understand why people are still roaming the streets , you would think they would be making sure they are out of the area at least?

R.I.P to all those poor, innocent victims

it's dark times such as these, that the worst in human nature sadly, surfaces to eclipse what good there's left

we should be standing strong together, shoulder to shoulder, mourning our loss, supporting the victim's families & each other. not shamefully tearing each other apart!

the media is only ever going to report so much of a story & from their own point of view. there will always be a political edge somewhere, from each newspaper/news channel.

none of us on here are the 'bad guy' & in the days to follow, im sure we will be told 'difinitivly' who was responsible.

let's show some solidarity in our fellow humans & proudly, let's take care of the 'good guys'

again, R.I.P.

It reminds me of Lockerbie and the locals opening their homes to the families of victims

First the French people need to have their time to mourn ! Then they will have to decide what action to take ?

That is when things will get scary !

There are good and bad people in every religion but nobody walks round with a sign saying they are a bad one !

So we tar everyone with the same brush and will always be suspicious?

Some deal with it quietly others will voice and show their frustration?

We will have to wait and see ?

Well not would be fairly difficult to have enough time to run out, ready and throw the grenade at people before getting shot

The odds of there being a preplaced bomb at anything other than a route they were going to force a crowd to run to is very low (about the same as you encountering one at random today )
