Also to fellow professionals trying to cope with it all.

Mrs is away visiting family and it has really affected the children. We have spoken to her tonight but it brings home what is important in life. The world will self destruct if we can't all settle our differences. And it has nothing to do with religion it is just pure scum of the earth who have no right to be on this earth. We love visiting France it is a great country and the people are friendly and they are very closely related to us. Mr W

Stop turning nice threads into your way of abusing others. Put the news on look at the people being carried by police soldiers medical staff spare a thought for them rather than using it to be more a abusive.

I'll say this part of me when seeing this wants revenge it wants to go carpet bomb the middle east and all Muslims.

But then a larger part of me remember a that two of my best friends are Muslim and that both of them would be higher up on the firing line than you or I due to their life choices.

And I beg everyone to rremember that as much as these terrorists want us to see Muslims as one large homogenous group they are not.

For every one who suports these acts there are hundreds who would stand against them.

Rip to all innocents today and my thoughts to all their families

A 1000+ person capacity venue stored with practically no planning and only a 100 deaths is a remarkable job.

This isn't a hostage situation with here they negotiate this is people trying to kill everyone they can be for they run out of ammo or are killed.

With any less planning g it would have simply been a suicide raid

Yes. Takes me back to 7/7 when I lived in London and no one could locate one another, and the failed attempt the following week- I was in Cyprus and it took hours to find out that my friends and family back home were safe, even though it was a failed attempt that day!

Completely agree with you. It can also be said that there are people out there or extreme Muslims who would want to carpet bomb the US and UK and Christians for the illegal wars we have waged in their countries and killed millions.

I believe funding terrorists in Syria might be the actual reason, but sure, their will be ill informed keep blaming regular Muslims and let the governments get away with what they are doing!

Fuck terrorism.

Hopefully you will hear they are safe and well soon. Xx

Seconded here. Hope they're safe and well xx

Yes. Takes me back to 7/7 when I lived in London and no one could locate one another, and the failed attempt the following week- I was in Cyprus and it took hours to find out that my friends and family back home were safe, even though it was a failed attempt that day!

My uncle would have been on the underground that day if he hadn't needed emergency dental care

Thank fuck for cavities

I'd agree with you on that if I didn't have toothache now

"How does one define an 'illegal war' then?"

Losing it.

Pretty much it.

The war in Iraq wasn't illegal by any testable means even under the various UN terms it could be argued as under rth acceptable means to resolving the issue.

Illegal war is one you started and lost in international politics.

Arguing denotes that i am justifying to you anything i said. I am not.

These are my thoughts and feelings about the validation of violence. And trust me they extend to much more than what i've said in here.

They are not petty thoughts, they are real thoughts that could have made a difference. They won't make a difference about the past now, but we don't live in the past, we live in the now and my original comment was about that. Of course i understand that some people cannot live without violence the way societies are now, but like i said violence is a valid option. Keep on validating it and of course it will happen illegally, as well as legally.

Well done you for your attitude. I went to Wembley a couple of weeks ago for American football. 84 thousand people. All leaving in an orderly fashion to get on the tube. Great atmosphere even had a Ymca flashmob waiting to get in the station courtesy of London Transport playing it through a loud speaker.Because we were having so much fun the risk of terrorism never crossed my mind. Puts out a defiant message. Mr W

The aim of terrorism is to cause maximum disruption and despair through fear of it's use. Stand united with the people of France, then carry on with your daily life. This takes away any victory these cowards may have felt they achieved. My prayers to all affected.

"I'd like to share my condolences with the people who lost family and friends in Paris and to extend this to the 43 people murdered and 200+ injured the day before in Beirut by ISIS suicide bombers."

Thoughts go out to all innocent people affected by acts of terrorism.

"I am supposed to be going to the England vs France match in Tuesday and I will happily sing the French national anthem as a mark or respect

It was cancelled last night wasn't it."

the FFF have changed their minds....and the game "at the moment" is back on..... however they have said this is obviously a fluid situation

While all condolences are well intentioned the best we can do in the memory of all murdered by terrorists is to confront hatred where ever we encounter it.

"Please no arguing in this one.

Lets show solidarity in our support for all the victims and emergency services caught up in this terrible tragedy.

Mrs.

Firstly, let me state my condolences for those who lost their lives in the attack, those who lost loved ones, & those affected by this horrendous example of what human beings are capable of doing to one another.

Secondly, let me remind others of the OP's request that this thread is not about opinions or anything else other than to show solidarity for the victims of this heinous attack. Frankly I'm surprised by some members trying to divert attention from this to other things happening in France & elsewhere. Can I politely suggest you start another thread if you want to discuss matters not directly connected with the Paris attack or the show of support for those who died last night,

"
