Garden schredders

Well after pruning my big ass conifer tree I now have a shit load of branches to get rid off, I have looked at a few home shredders but they only look like they can handle branches not much more than twigs, can anyone recommend a shredder that can take reasonable thickness branches at least 2 inch thick ?

I think you're better off hiring one because I bought one last year and it's not as good as I thought it would be

If you want a really good one then it's going to be really expensive to buy,if it's an ongoing tree chopping operation then it may be worth shelling out

We upgraded to a Qualcast Silent Shredder 2800W from Homebase. Magic.

Technically cuts up to 2", but anything bigger than an inch I leave for the wood-burner.

This is definitely the way to go. Plus you won't have to store the thing until you next need it.

how much is there? i cut a tree down every year and i use loppers to chop it into smallish bits and fill the green bin - sometimes takes two loads so have to put up with a pile of branches for a week or so but cheaper
