Registering a domain with domain privacy

hiding from cock pics.

Has anybody got any experience of registering a domain and using the domain privacy option. I know this shows the registraion company details instead of your personal details.

Would this make it impossible for somebody to find you unless they needed to find you on legal grounds.

I'm considering registering a domain this way and it will be absolutely legal but I wouldn't like it to be easily traced back to me by the public.

Would anybody have any idea if it is as simple as paying the extra domain privacy?

Thank you so much.

I've registered a few domains; built websites; and had them hosted using streamline dot net, or fasthost and always gone for the private registration option. It is my believe that apart from having an exemption from a court order or warrant your personal details are protected by the privacy option

Thank you. Would any host privacy option work the same, like 123 or godaddy?

of course it should do in theory, but you get what you pay for of course. I can't speak for what DNS they use and just how confidential they are. Depending on what domain extension you are after you can get a domain from who I mentioned earlier for £1.98 (parked); not sure if that is for 12 or 24 months. But certainly very worth comparing. Their hosting packages and functionality is far more superior too. If you need someone to build a site for you; properly coded, and not from a template, just ask

The host won't make any difference at all, the domains will be registered with Nominee, the host will just deal with them on your behalf.

Dursley

The host of a domain will only affect the price you pay and the level of service you get. Better company, more expertise.

The other benefits of a good company are improved DNS options and the support they can provide in the unlikely event you ever come into dispute with anyone.
