they dont bother me either way

id sooner put up with a few mins of discomfort than days, weeks, months of tooth ache

People who sit there whinging about tooth ache who not go to the dentist just plain annoy me lol

I actually dont mind going, even though I have just had root canal treatment completed on a molar.

The fact that both my old and replacememt dentist just happen to be female, southern irish and gorgeous dont play any part of it....... honest

being a regular at the eye clinic and the poking and prodding and needles there....

the dentist pales into insignificance

Same here!

My dentist always ask me if I'm alright because I'm so chilled and relaxed. I'm even more chilled because I went to this one - my previous dentist of 20 odd years, selfishly decided to retire to China! Went to a local one and he charged me £100 for just saying - "hi, nice smile".

Went to the dentist my old one had referred me to, a little further away and after "nice smile", x-ray, cleaning and appointment for a filling that was £35 all in!!

whilst I like my dentist as he is very gentle and patient, I don't like having the work done on my teeth. However, I am grateful for what he does.

I hate dentists with a passion. Fillings always used to hurt like hell even with local anesthetic. The final straw came when I had "a couple" of extractions and reacted badly to the anesthetic. I came round poked my tounge round expecting 2 gaps where teeth had been only to find 5 missing and let rip cursing and swearing frightened the poor kids in the waiting room and that was the last time I set foot in a dentists, I was 13 at the time.

Due to my phobia, I'm treated by my local dental hospital, should I require any treatment, the majority of the time it's under sedation

i spent the first 15 years of my life as ayearly resident at the dental hospital due to some birth defects.which took a while to sort out ..so for me ive bever been bothered by the dentist and a little tip try to relax your hands while you are in the chair it kinda makes the rest of you relaxed too ...

I like the dentist. He's kinda hot and wears latex gloves... I find that the last thing I'm thinking about is what's going on with my teeth!

luckily registered with a NHS one after my own went private and wanted more money than i have every spent on the teeth.

have got a nice lady dentist who lays you back on the chair wraps her boobs around your head then starts work on the teeth.

very relaxing.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Another dentist hater here too! I had a tooth chip just before Xmas and had it filled this morning, thankfully without the need for drilling! The cost was enough pain though, £46 and that`s NHS supposidly! My last dentist was a right cowboy I needed an extraction and the roots were fused to the next one! I reckon if he`s x-rayed me properly, he would have seen that I should have gone to hospital and had it done under a general anasthetic. He gave me three shots of local and was buggering about for over half an hour, didn`t give me anything to stop the bleeding apart from giving me a handfull of tissues to bite on, which I had to do as I drove the 10 miles home while trying not to swallow too much of the blood still coming from my gum. It`s the first time in my life I`ve ever cried from pain! God knows what the people in the waiting room must have made of it, especially when I came out with a gob full of tissues!
