Clove oil or dab some whiskey on it .

Hate toothache, one of the worst pains going.

Ibuprofen needs to be in the system constantly to be effective, it's no good waiting for pain to arrive before taking it.

Wisdom tooth pain is unlikely to be relieved with Oil of Cloves, you need to see your GP and ask for a more effective pain relief if you are not having dental treatment on the Wisdom tooth until the end of the month.

Clove oil is the way to go on a wisdom tooth.

I broke my lower left canine crunching on some pork crackling just before Christmas.

Then I cut my tongue on the jagged bit, so decided it had to come out. I steralized my long nosed pliers and pulled the fooker out. Then had a good glug of Southern Comfort.

Surprisingly I haven't had any trouble or pain since and it seems to have healed over the last week.

Couldn't pull a wisdom tooth myself though, well, not my own anyway

Go to your GP, ask for a pain relief with a high codeine phosphate content(30g+).

If you insist your GP will prescribe you Tylex in capsule form, if not try gargling with effervescent Solpadol.

I think its going to vary,, as everyones pain threshold is different, so i wont recommend anything, wisdom tooth pain is horrendous though...hugs xxx

There is only one thing i can suggest if you look in your local paper there will be a phone number for an emergency dentist out of hours.

Really if you ring your dentist and tell him you are suffering with severe pain they should see you asap.

Hope this might help a little.

If you see a chemist in the am and i am sure they will ask you the necessary question ref taking them you can also take a mix of two painkillers that work to ease the pain a lot.

Syndol. Amazing pills, designed for migraines but can knock you out for more or less anything. You can buy over the counter in a pharmacists. Hope you feel better soon!

You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen together. Or go to pharmacy and ask for paramol, it's dihydrocdine and paracetamol. One of the strongest you can buy over the counter.

If it gets too much when doctors are closed go to your local A&E department where they will give you stronger pain relief. Or as mentioned before emergency dentist, but they can only give you paracetamol and ibuprofen. But may be able to do a temporary job on it.

They did for me and I was in no pain after. Good luck xx
