You did join in. To make a mockery of the people who died. Whatever your sentiments on war that was an immature and disrespectful thing to do. Nobody sent their children off to war,they went because they had to,and some lied about their age to enlist because they didn't want their families to suffer at the hands of the enemy. Would you have left Hitler to carry on as he was,or maybe send him a letter with a daisy in it asking him if he wouldn't mind not invading England. Wars will always happen and will have to be fought. If you don't agree that's your choice but do not disrespect people who do.

My son was an adult when he joined up, it was his choice, I'd seriously like to know how I could've prevented it, if I'd been of a mind to.

I'm very proud of my son and his mates and to be honest all the other members of our armed forces, even though I couldn't possibly know them all!

The dead deserve my respect for making the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of this country and our freedoms.

Everyone has an opinion on the two minutes silence, Armistice Day and Remembrance day. I personally support all of it. However, it's up to others what they do.

read berlins theory of positive and negative liberty...and tell me that the world wars were not contrived on negative liberty motives..also they were staged as a societal reform to disassemble family values, gender equality and community..wars are societies, fear /control mechanism implemented upon the population,to keep them sheep..to disempower men in their ability to protect their women and children, and harness their innate protective power for the authorities instead of against them....fearful people are easier to manipulate...you sold out to the big man...women shouldnt support the slaughter of their men and boys...
