Newcastle and Gateshead

black friday has always been the equivilant of the "boxing day" sales over here.....

there was never ever the need to do it here.......

p.s it was apple that did it first here to stop people from outside the us buying them and shipping stuff back cheaper than the "local" price......

That's what I meant by it was Wallmart who started it in the first place over here, implying that it is the same company who started it that is now stopping it.

Im dissapointed, I was looking forward to watching a good ol' scrap.

Sky Sports missed a trick not televising it.

Personally I like this move, last year was just plain crazy with Black Friday and cyber Monday.

We don't need to turn into animals to get some 'cheap' that really had been put up in price a few weeks beforehand only for them to 'put the price lower' for this crazy idea.

good...people acting all desperate like animals trampling over one another and fighting amongst each other over discount priced goods is ridiculous.

Didn't buy anything last year, won't buy anything this year. My time is worth more than the potential saving of £50 off a telly I don't even need anyway, not to mention the risk to my poor face of getting in a supermarket bust up

I think it is some sort of Chav festival where they worship the great god Retail.

Last year, my sister stayed up all night to get Black Friday items.

To be honest, I would rather put pins in my eyes than thrash about in a sale!

Not that I dont love a bargain, but just think stores create the drama to lure customers in.

xx
