I've just finished tidying up my littliest one's bedroom and 2 fivers and a bag of pound coins & other change means my 3 year old has £57.65

Predominantly from being cute and pocketing pound coins from my change or from me

He's the new back of the sofa it seems nice little find so thought I'd share. Is much better than anything I've ever found in my teenage daughters room

No I did think about changing it into notes for him but think it will be more productive to take him shopping for a piggy bank. It's never too early to learn saving is a good thing

My son,s bed room was always spot less every thing in its place as for our Daughter rats would not live in it never seen any one as untidy as she was.

She is 32 now happily married with 2 children its the same with our grandchildren the boy is much more tidier than our grand daughter the arguments my daughter has with our grand daughter about it is just history repeating its self

lol We have a piggy bank that my nipper saves her money in.. she had more spending money in it for this years summer holiday than i had saved up

I know a couple of 3 year olds who like having pockets full of money. They don't know the value of it,it's no different to them than the junk they pick up and stash. My nephew used to post money down a floor board.

Lol a 3 year old bank robber! If you looked after little children a lot you would know they like collecting stuff,money is stuff as well. They are the same children who haven't grasped that you have to pay for items from shops and wait for your change. As they get older they learn the value of money and how you work for it and use it to pay for things.

I've 2 girls and my youngest is the only boy. I figured the untidy bedroom was an age thing though.

It takes me minutes to blitz his room

(Unless we've had lego/mega blocks out)

He knows paper money buys more but likes shinny coins over the others.

My almost 4 yr old loves shiny coins. Brand new 1ps are her favourite, then 20ps for the shape. She does chores to earn pennies, they go in her piggy bank, then we count and bag them up, she puts them in at the bank using her book it's good for them to learn young.x

My youngest whose ten (he's autistic) has no concept of money (same as my sister), he got over £100 for his birthday once and we insisted on taking him on his own to spend his money as his middle brother always 'puts ideas in his head to benefit him' shall we say, he chose sainsburys of all places, he looked at games for his Xbox but came out with a magazine and flapjacks, he still has £92.40 left of it in his bank (after that we told our nearest and dearest to get him gifts as it was too much for him)

My nephews are the same. The youngest likes shiny pennies the oldest likes £2 coins with the random history pictures on them. They save them in a jar and it gets split in half at the end of the year and they go and buy what they like.

piggy bank is fine but you may find a small plastic jar where they can see the money better

its great when they get one just as bad as they was I do hope that you reminded them of themselves

ive had it so ive taken a photo of it and ive got one just like me as well and dont i get told it as well

When our daughter was young she was obsessed with 2 pound coins or wopper doppers as she called them, if she had a 20 pound note she would swap it for a wopper dopper
