So Jamie Oliver has been round school canteens, advised the government and all kinds of stuff to reduce Obesity. Wants to ban/tax sugar in drinks etc.

.

Just seen on the news he has opened a new restaurant in India.....is it serving organic, healthy food? Not a chance. It is a greasy Pizzeria. On TV they were serving deep-pan gooey cheese laden pizza with slices of sausage dripping off them.

Maybe because what he is dictating we should all be eating wouldn't sell?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I don't think they have as many obese people in India.

Although yeah, I'm not impressed with his attitude. But I've never been a fan really.

He is always cooking a pizza in his wood oven, heck he even sells pizza ovens. I guess his point is don't eat it everyday.

School dinners should be the healthiest possible. Restaurants cater for people's tastes not for health but he may be using healthy option ingredients

Not yet, the junk food isn't there in force yet.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

All his restaurants serve pizza and pasta.

He's advocating that sugary drinks are bad and that eating out is something you do in moderation.

I'm sure his books will still have cake and puddings too.

A child will have a school dinner for 5 days out of 7,approximately 38 weeks of the year. Some children don't have much of a breakfast and only a snack type meal after school, they should have healthy options.

Jamie Oliver always makes me a bit irrationally angry. Never met the bloke but he irritates me no end.

Different markets

He is the public face of a money making machine

Like most businesses they will do what they need to build markets, brand and profits

Like most businesses they will also diversify

Can't be doing with the man himself but some of the grub looks great

The difference is you can choose to go to a restaurant or not.

He's a businessman at the end of the day and if he feels he can make money, who am I to moan about it - there are bigger injustices going on in the world than some dude selling pizza.

He annoyed me the moment he opened Fifteen and passed it off as his brilliant idea. An identical scheme had been running for four or five years just around the corner, where he learned a lot about what works.

He's a self obsessed,arrogant wank.

He done a bit of cooking, now he wants to dictate what we all eat.

Should have stayed in the kitchen.

I suppose the op knows it's actually an Italian restaurant, they do serve pizza but also a whole range of Italian dishes the menu is available on the restaurants web site.
