I've always thought it's incredibly difficult when it comes to eating disorders - if you have a problem with alcohol, or drugs, or gambling they are all things which can be avoided but you can't avoid food and it's so tied up with family and social life. This goes for all eating disorders including binge/overeating disorders as well as the ones people more typically recognise.
