Back of Beyond

Beeb 2 had a night dedicated to them last night.

A Biopic of their early years made by Victoria Wood was on for 1 1/2 hours. That was absolutely bloody amazing, did anyone see it? Never laughed so much except for seeing the real article, those actors played the parts to perfection.

Afterwards they posed a question. Why were they so loved and in the affection of the British public.

The answer is simply they ahd the ability to make you laugh till your sides hurt, without resorting to the sort of vulgarity that today's so-called comedians stoop to.

And cuurently showing a repeat of one of their shows as I type. It`s the one that starts with their version of Starsky and Hutch and has Angela Rippon dancing with the Tillers Girls!

I really enjoyed this programme last night. One of the best things on over xmas and new year. The young actors were brilliant, as was Victoria Wood.
