Favourite musical!

To celebrate my recently coming out as straight i thought i might find out what your favorite musicals are! I know, i know, you're thinking "come on Clem ya massive bell end, what's yours?". Well I've had a long hard think for a few seconds and I've come up with 3 in no particular order ....my favorite 7 brides for 7 brothers, and next favorite (or middle one) might be Paint ya wagon (or Cry baby) then last and by no means 3rd the Rocky horror picture show...

Tell me Fab, what are yours?

(i will accept stage or screen)

Ps i also liked the musical Buffy episode.

100. Anything else with original music

10000. Any jukebox / greatest hits / tribute musical.

My favourite is West Side Story. After that I don't know if I can rank the rest that I really like as the Sound of Music, Calamity Jane, High Society and Little Shop of Horrors or Book of Mormon are very different but I'm very happy watching them over and over again.

"Does animated count?

Mine's the little mermaid.

"Darling it's better down where it's wetter, take it from me!" "

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight

Not a footprint to be seen

A kingdom of isolation,

And it looks like I'm the queen.

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside

Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!

Don't let them in, don't let them see

Be the good girl you always have to be

Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know

Well, now they know!

Let it go, let it go

Can't hold it back anymore

Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door!

I don't care

What they're going to say

Let the storm rage on,

The cold never bothered me anyway!

It's funny how some distance

Makes everything seem small

And the fears that once controlled me

Can't get to me at all!

It's time to see what I can do

To test the limits and break through

No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free!

Let it go, let it go

I am one with the wind and sky

Let it go, let it go

You'll never see me cry!

Here I stand

And here I'll stay

Let the storm rage on!

My power flurries through the air into the ground

My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around

And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast

I'm never going back,

The past is in the past!

Let it go, let it go

And I'll rise like the break of dawn

Let it go, let it go

That perfect girl is gone!

Here I stand

In the light of day

Let the storm rage on,

The cold never bothered me anyway!

Everyone Lobes this one surely

"My favourite is Madame Butterfly

sorry you can't have that ... Madame Butterfly is not a "musical"

It's an opera by Puccini

I'll have what I want

but its not a musical

Soooo, half the comments that get posted on the forums aren't related but they still get to be allowed

Do you think Madame butterfly is a musical ? "

No but I like the songs and I don't have a favourite musical but I do have a favourite opera... Which is still singing! But if it's gonna cause so much hassle than I withdraw my post

Oh, and film wise Calamity Jane (NOOOOW I SHOUT IT FROM THE HIIIGHEST HILLS), Rocky Horror (the Biggins is in it!) and Singin' in the Rain (she can't act, she can't sing, she can't dance. A triple threat).

But it's a close run thing since Paint Your Wagon has Lee Marvin in it and Bugsy is joyous.

Bearing madame butterfly in mind i was only saying to Mrs Fandango a couple of days ago that we should go and see H.M.S. Pinafore! There's no shame in exploring a bit of opera.

You are the very model of the modern major general. I've always wanted to see Pirates of Penzance done by a proper opera company.
