Being blocked just means you won't see them again. It's not necessary personal, it just means they're not interested and use the site tools proactively.

Send me a compliment and I'll decide whether or not to block you

If I message someone and they respond negatively, ie no thanks, then I'll block em, just stops me contacting them again in the future further down the line. I use the notes facility to jot down if and when I mail someone seeing as a majority don't reply, I can then see that they aren't interested and after a while, they get blocked too. Bi/gay guys that message get blocked also so it's just to narrow down what's out there, nowt personal.

People will block you. People will block all of us.

It's their choice, you just have to get over it.

They probably block if they aren't interested in meeting, not because you paid them a compliment.

It can be difficult to know how to respond to a compliment from someone a long way away, we usually say "thank you" and get a positive response but sometimes we get a "I'm down your way on holiday next week fancy meeting?" which then leads on to a conversation we weren't expecting.

At first, I would've felt bad doing it. Then someone we had been talking to quite actively sent us a message saying they had decided they weren't interested. I replied "no hard feelings", but they blocked us. At first, I was terribly butt hurt, but then I started proactively using "block". Mainly because it can sometimes be hard to keep track of people. We are new to this, have yet to have any meets. I suspect once we have have met "friends" that we plan on visiting multiple times, it will narrow our friends list, as we have no interest in sleeping around.

We also use the note feature. We go weeks between talking to people and I make notes about what we've talked about so that I don't have to rely on looking through messages to remember.

Fab has no muppets.. Oooh kermie lol.

As to OP. You expect too much. This is not Oxford school of manners. Maybe a simple no thank you. Why block someone you not met before is harsh. Unless they send me nasty texts. X

Ps dont take it heart. After all this is cyber space

We haven't decided yet

We aren't doing this in our hometown, mainly because we both travel for work. We're thinking we'd like to have 3 couples (or women), ideally.

Not expecting much at all. I just merely saying I got blocked for saying hot pics. Got arsey msg back saying hadn't read profile and blocked. When had read profile and said nothing about not msging. They had hot pics that had been taken well and just wanted to pay a compliment

From her perspective though it's just a guy who clearly doesn't meet their criteria sending them a pointless message probably trying to chance his arm at a meet after "chatting"

Bit rude but at least you a reply saves you starting a thread on that.

Joking by the way.

Brighton - even Hove!

There was a thread about compliments the other day and most ladies who posted said they too compliments 'with a pinch of salt' so there's probably not much point in sending them anyway.

The mr of the couple could of woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Or even worse having a bad hair day. Best thing to do is open a new account and try again tomo

I'd have to agree with this. I'd always think there was an ulterior motive for just getting a message saying nice pics.

I will say thanks but that can lead onto a conversation that I don't want. If I say I'm not interested, they then say they were only saying nice pics and weren't interested either so I'm not sure what response is the best one.

I don't block though, unless they turn rude.

OP, just get used to it, I think it has to do with all the guys paying compliments and then expecting a meet on the back of a reply.

I completely understand. I'm thinking that they had no idea what your intentions were. They've probably been approached lots of times where the comment wasn't the end. Maybe just a fab of the picture next time. Or preface the message with "not engaging - just had to tell you these pictures are amazing!"

Ever the voice of reason there are no rules saying we have to reply to all messages with polite small talk and some of us get a lot
