Not a lot of love on the news thread - how about they start doing what people have actually asked for first rather than fucking about with things that they haven't....

Clearly some things are going to be easier to implement than others. Some people make a mountain out of a molehill re that bloody online dot.

I'm obviously not using the site to its full potential then because I really don't care if it's a red, pink, blue or green dot next to my name ~ it's not affected me in anyway shape or form by having it switched on or off.

I'm not bothered if people are online or not of whether I show online all the time.

Don't get why it's an issue tbh.

Rather than coloured dots there should be an option to appear offline.

It's a very very simple thing to implement Ruby.

They've added the code to show when people are online so it's ridiculously easy to add code to allow supporters to switch it off.

The amount of women in the Help section who've asked for it as they detest getting messages because the green dot shows them as online.

I've had messages to the effect of "well you're active why haven't you replied".

Sometimes all you want is to pop in, have a gander and go again.

Surely you should be able to do that without being harassed for being online?

You might be more worried if the left one is going end up leaking that expensive single malt you're keeping for Xmas

Basically, I just have my doubts that many people are seriously, actually being "harassed" for being online, but I've made my thoughts clear on that plenty of times before. If it was as easy peasy as you suggest, why would they not just do it - and stop the whinging comments about it? There must be some reason why not.

IMO Ruby so as to increase the traffic across the site.

It suits them NOT to do it as the more women online means the more men online and the more ££'s in their pocket as they'll want to see more, etc.

It's a very simple thing to do - the software this place runs on already has it available.

They are choosing to ignore the very people that are paying for their lifestyle they've become accustomed to and instead play about with stuff that makes no difference but everyone goes "wow thank you" because it's a "site improvement ".

It isn't - it's still just as difficult for those who are colour blind as has already been pointed out.

Yet the stuff members have actually been asking for gets ignored time and time again.

You only have to read through the threads in that section to see what is being asked for repeatedly but not implemented.

I like it. If someone is the type to harrass me just because I'm online, we're not compatible. It's yet another great filter.

I used to be on Adultfriendfinder (still have profile there but I don't use it anymore) and people left that site in droves because of constant silly site updates that no one ever asked for. Again like you say, stuff that the members wanted and asked for time and time again was ignored, in the end it just pissed a lot of people off and a lot of people left, the site ended up going into bankruptcy.

I think the owners of Fab really need to heed the warnings from what happened to that site and listen to the members more. After all its the members who pay the bills.
