Do you think Tyson could have beaten Ali? Personally I don't but chuck your thoughts in!

Their respective eras were too far apart to tell really. That and two totally different fighters with plus points where you could argue for either to win.

Ali with his silky skills and deceptively hard punch vs Tyson with his brutal one punch devastation. He generally only needed to connect once and it was goodnight Gracie

Ali would have given a Tyson a boxing lesson. Holyfield would have given Tyson a boxing lesson when they first were scheduled to meet. Tyson had that fear factor take that away what was left?

The correct answer is Tyson in his prime against anyone would and did only end one way. Tyson on a bad day..... Let's not forget Danny Williams beat him. That's all I have to say about this

Ali would have annihilated Tyson; who was a one trick pony. Tyson was ferocious and had a devastating attack, but Ali was like a ghost.

Tyson would get frustrated at not being able to land a punch then he would start to make mistakes. Ali would then just wear him down. Much the same way that Lenox Lewis did when they met.

Lenox remember is the same age as Tyson.

he was a fighter, good defence, stamina etc and Tyson was a street thug who wouldn't have lasted more than 6 rounds with Ali..

Tyson was interview about who would of won

Tyson said Ali would have danced around him and warn his legs out

But he did go into say that if he had got him pined on the ropes Ali could of taken his hits

So for me Ali would of won

Tyson isn't fit to lace his boots.

Tyson wouldn't get into the top five boxers of all time , he'd struggle to get in the top ten.

Just because he's a celeb now people like to talk him up. A one trick pony who was only a champion for a short while.

People think Lennox Lewis was shit, but he was better than Tyson.

Tyson was fighting at a time that didn't have the depth of talent that Ali had!

Ali could take a punch better than Tyson, dance better than Tyson, had way more stamina than Tyson, was taller, had a better reach, better jab, better fighting brain,

In fact the only thing Tyson did better was a powerful hook!

Ali's weight back then was about what 15½ stone whereas now it's like 17½stone for a heavyweight...

That says everything really

Yes I agree it worked on most, but once James Buster Douglas gave him a good bashing everybody wanted to fight Mike Tyson, prison prolonged the "Iron" Mike Tyson myth.

Ali was, as a young man, reckoned to be almost impossible to hit, so quick was he. Prior to the ban over Vietnam, that is. Later he showed he was almost impossible to knock out as he showed against Foreman and Frasier. And he would have been certain to wind Tyson up something rotten pre-fight! So, Ali all day long

Tyson has said Ali would have beaten him.

Ali has said Tyson would have beaten him.

I think Ali would have too much skill for Tyson. Foreman was the Tyson of his day and look what happened there.

In my mind Ali was the greatest boxer of all time. Tyson was the greatest fighter.

What it does show is how shit the Heavyweight division is now. No one fighting today would have beaten either of them.
