OK, I know I'm gonna get some grief ...but here goes.

I was on here over a year ago as a couple. ..that ended and now I'm back as a single fem.

Im not looking for nsa etc but do like the banter on fab forum.

I really want to date and find a life partner/soul mate, but with a bit of excitement thrown in.

From my status updates saying that I'm looking to date, I have received some rather nasty messages back saying it's the likes of me that is ruining fab as it should only be for swingers. ..

Im wondering what everyone's opinion is on this before I decide to leave

Please honest answers but not abusive ones...

Just carry on as you are,you state your preferences and aren't hiding any intentions

It's surprising how many people read a profile when they want to send bile but when they want to meet they can't manage to read any sort of preference

I honestly think that using fab as a dating site is a bit strange because most of the men here are here for sex...

But at the same time, I can see why you might want to meet someone who is also a swinger because they would be interested in continuing this after they are in a relationship. If that isn't what you want either, then I think you are looking in the wrong place, in all honesty.

As for nasty messages, well I don't understand why anyone sends nasty private messages when it is so easy to ignore what you don't like on here. But I guess people are just twats?

I agree with Courtney on this one op!

If you want to stay in the swinging world and are looking for someone to explore that with whilst in a loving relationship - then this is the right place!

If, however, you want to leave fab and walk hand in hand into the sunset with someone, then I'd recommend one of the more reputable dating sites!

Well you're stuck between a rock and a hard thing; if you go on a dating site, you'll have to explain to any prospective partner that you want a relationship with them where you can have sex with others,which probably wont be acceptable to them and, if you come on here, the having sex with others shouldn't be a problem but the relationship maybe.

Personally I think using Fab is the better of the two choices; yes you'll get some idiots abusing you but you can just block them (and at least you'll no for sure that they aren't what you're looking for).

You're bound to find what you're looking for; it'll just take time but when you do, you will have someone who accepts you for who you are and can share your lifestyle.

I use this site for MY means and not to please others. I'm completely upfront with men about my intentions on here. I'm open to anything but don't look for a relationship I think if you look and are pretty full on it scares people off. However as long as I'm true to myself with what I want out of life...

Having been on and off more conventional dating sites over the years I'd say I would be far more inclined to look on here if I did want something more. Simply because the men here in general seem to have a bit more substance to them. Brighter or better to chat with etc than the 2 extremes I found elsewhere (dull as dishwater and Ned central)

People can and should use this site however they wish it's no one's place to say they can't. You stick to your guns OP. Ignore the idiots. It's them that ruin the site. X

I've used so called dating sites before and it turns out that it's bullsh** anyway. Most of the guys just want casual sex but lie about wanting a relationship. At least on here, most of the time you know what's expected.

Too many people (mainly men from what i've noticed) think that women are here for what men want.

I've even got on my profile that i'm here for me and not for anyone who approaches me, and guess what? I get less mail now that i actually just want something...haven't even specified what i want coz it isn't that much but the fact that i've said i'm not here to be used makes me less approachable.

Not had any nasty messages personally about it, have had a couple of nasty messages when in cam coz i don't sexualy perform for guys they think i'm boring, i just tell them to fuck off.

Users are always disappointed when they can't use, it fucks up their ideals and points out what's obvious to most people is that people don't like being used. They are so against the idea of you having a mind of your own and needs of your own they actually get angry enough about this that they message you to try and change who you are and make you a usable object in their world. You don't exist as a person in your own right to these people, their world revolves around themselves and their needs and fuck you. Ignore people like this, they are fucked up.

Hi op I can see why you would look here because as someone stated earlier here you generally know what you're getting whereas on other sites you get guys looking for Sex but lying about the fact they want a relationship! At least here people know they want sex and can't exactly deny it it's just the finding the people who want a relationship!

Saying that I know of a couple who met on here and actually got engaged!

I am hoping to find a relationship with someone who posted earlier in this thread we seem to be getting on very well so good luck to you it can be done!
