Because they are so high up they can't get WiFi, but because of the money involved in Dubai, they've started running fibre optic cable between the planes and the airports. It's like the fibre Internet cables running under the sea between Europe and America, just obviously much much thinner. So the Internet on the planes is a bit slower, but better than nothing. | |||

"Yes they have there own wifi on board now. Not stopping in dubai (that was last week) but changing flights. I am heading to Bangkok for a weeks work According to fab no one near!!!! There was a few within in a mile at Heathrow though. I am sat at the back of the plane being discreet passing the 7 hours with you lot!!!" OP, because of the delay from your plane's Internet cable, we aren't getting your response for 3-4 mins. You'd best quote who you are answering  | |||
