Does anyone else have this little problem?! I can go for days - even weeks - without feeling horny. I just don't feel the urge.

(And no... I don't need anyone's personal one on one help to get it back.

Aha! I have symptoms of S.A.D, probably related.

It must be very rare to be horny all the time.....i find real life takes over and sex goes out of my mind completely. I would have thought that was perfectly normal and not anything to worry about.

Yes, but I don't think of it as a problem.

Yes. Particularly with having to juggle a job, a house and a toddler with no outside family support and PND. Real lifejust gets in the way sometimes....

I wish I could be like that and not feel the need for weeks on end, at best I can go a week or two without it then I end up end up feeling the need again while I'm sleeping it's a right pain in the arse some times as I can't go back to sleep unless I do something...

wonder what life would be like having an off button for it to just go away completely for long periods off time...

Gonna be honest here , we are horny all the time !

24/7 ..... Even when we are totally shattered and real life dramas are all around us , we are still totally horny

It's normal. I haven't even had an orgasm for about six weeks, now.

It's not a biological need at all times, for women. Countless different factors affect it. Largely how we see ourselves from time to time.

If I feel unattractive or worried or depressed, I don't want sex. I particularly don't want to meet strangers for sex.

I agree, I was supposed to meet someone yesterday but just felt down so cancelled it. He was lovely about it and hopefully we can meet when I'm feeling more in the mood.

Guess it must be different for single women ....

I can go off sex for days, but not weeks.

Things that put me off sex are other peoples head fucks, or if i fuck my own head.

If you don't feel like sex then there doesn't have to be anything wrong with you. When i felt horny all the time there was something wrong with me then.

Everyone's different. Is it unusual for you? is the key question.

Like most things that go missing if you stop looking they often turn up

I can go months without even feeling the desire to perve.

But other times I get really Moody if I don't have sex at least five times a day.

Nowt right or wrong there, just the natural flow of balance in life

I get the impression that they're the ones overcompensating for something. But I've no evidence to prove this theory

I would say it is totally normal well as normal as anything can be.

As long as you are feeling okay in yourself then I really wouldn't worry about it. If you're feeling low & depressed them maybe pop to your GP for a chat.

It's not depression, I tend to feel like it whether I'm going through a dark time or a good time

If the op has already said she has S.A.D then this could be effecting her vitamin d levels. Vitamin d deficiency can lower estrogen levels which will lower sex drive.

I don't think so. It's more dairy and oily fish you need and egg yolks

I can totally understand this as I must admit I'm getting real swings myself but I think its mostly due to tiredness.

What with work, gym workouts, running and cycling I'm very often just too exhausted to even think about it.The fact that I'm enjoying these things so much ..not the work obviously..means I'm not really too inclined to do much about it at the mo tho I do still have my moments when something or someone gets me fired up.

I'm kind of glad sex isn't always at the forefront of my mind anyway, or I wouldn't have the headspace to concentrate on career and other things that are important in life.

I think it's only a problem if you allow it to be. Get out there and focus on other aspects of your life & learn to ride the peaks & troughs.

For me sex is an enhancement to life, nothing more, nothing less.
