Would you stay in a haunted house for a night?

I know we've just finished halloween but does anyone do anything scary? I don't see the appeal to dress up and get pissed when I can get pissed any other night. I'm wondering if there's anything anyone would do to get scared?

I would stay because contrary to public opinion theirs no such thing as ghosts, just people trying to scare you using various things hugs

Yes. I'm far more afraid of what living people can do than dead ones.

I don't believe in ghosts, so yes I'd stay in a house that people claimed to be haunted, especially if it's cheaper than a hotel.

I lived in one for twenty years. Nothing ever bothered me in a negative way. Other people who stayed were a bit freaked out at times though. I think of ghosts as being echoes of the past rather than something that has a specific motive.

There's a place called Chislehurst Caves near where I grew up. A long time ago there was a cash prize for anyone who could stay down there the night. Loads of people tried but they all gave up, or needed medical attention for whatever reason. In the end, I think a policeman won.

Anyways, the prize was withdrawn before I was born so I never got to give it a go, but I would have loved to!

I like the felling of fear and just the adrenaline rush. You don't really get that from day to day life

Tho not a believer in ghosts as such...being an atheist....I should not.....I do believe there are forces and energies we know little about. I stayed in a haunted house for a few nites in Dorchester. ...lovely place....but the eriee energy in the place was there for all to feel....and bumpsin the nite too....barely slept for three nites...!

Try commuting to work on a motorbike.

Few near death experiences before you've even had your first coffee of the day.

But seriously what feeling of fear its a house that someone told you a fairytale about.

Exactly if you took the same haunted house but simply presented it as a nice countryside hotel with no history people wouldn't report anything.

Tell a Good story and suddenly everyone has an experience there and passes it on

St. Ives

It's only haunted if you believe in ghosts.

I'm happy to stay in a house that people think is haunted. I've stayed overnight in 'haunted' hotel rooms, museums, prison cells, castles etc.. and I've yet to be spooked by anything paranormal.

I'd stay in a haunted house, as long as the ghosts weren't timewasters and turned up.

I don't like to be scared so wouldn't choose to do something that might scare me (not a horror film fan for instance).

However, I do believe in trying things and going out of my comfort zone. This is how I've had some great experiences.
