Tried taking advantage of the £9 offer they had, so got up nice and early (5am) and tried. The bloody thing said due to overhelming demand I can't book it as their site is experiencing high traffic. Did anyone manage to book a room?

I have to admit though I have never played at a Travelodge, but i just couldn't resist a bargain.

I forgot about it this morning until I got into work.

Luckily, 9 GBP rooms were still available at the hotels near me when I looked during my morning tea break, and managed to book a 9 GBP room once a month up to Dec 2011.

So I got lucky!

And yes, the site was busy at 10:30h, however, I managed to get through enough times to book my rooms!

There are still rooms available at £9 now but you do have to look for them quite hard!

I've found one for Sunday 13th March. Anyone up for a meet at the Travelodge at Newbury service station on the M4...?

booked a couple of days cheap in May to visit York. Didn't have any £9 ones though and had to book a day in one hotel and another in a different one. Both near the town centre though so can't be bad at £19 per family room.

We love these sales, always book in advance and hope we can use it. For £9 you can't go wrong. We got one for £9 in the last sale - roll on next week when we get to use it

We've also got a £19 in Premier Inn next in Feb as well
