"So this is something that I (Mr) have thought must be a very harsh thing to happen. As someone who is of average looks it's not a problem, but wonder how bad it must be for someone who has literally made their living from their looks, be it modelling, acting, averts and the like. Fashion is a harsh world so what happens to all the beautiful people once they are not so beautiful anymore? Learn new skills? Surgery? And would imagine it's easier for men. " god the end is nigh ,I will be destitute I can't afford surgery I will have to become a monk it's all I can do (chip)

" Do you mean when they get older? I've seen many beautiful old people I don't feel that age diminishes beauty really. I've seen some people who's looks have been dramatically altered by smoking, too much sun etc though. In the fashion world where youth seems to be necessary I suppose they move into the behind the camera positions.

I was a model about a hundred heard ago! I wasn't stunning - I got in by the skin of my teeth and did largely lingerie work. As a woman with three gorgeous kids - that became the most important thing in my life from the day they were conceived anyway - so my looks became secondary 23 years ago! I try to look as nice as I can when I go out - but I accept that every day there's someone younger and more beautiful than me out there - and I'm kind to them as you'd be amazed how little confidence most 'beautiful' people have!

"Bloody hell I did it again! Just call me the thread murderer!! " It's not dead yet lol. Firstly, OP, you're presuming 'beautiful' people have nothing to offer but their looks. This is likely down to how such businesses work - by objectifying people, they are nothing more than their appearance for the sake of selling, and they're often used to promote unrealistic ideals and fantasy lifestyles, which often makes them not seem like real people too because we don't know anybody like this in reality. Make up and air brushing can hide a multitude of sins and really can improve the appearance of most people up from the level of plain to pretty/beautiful. Most people are plain but adorned to attain a better appearance. So there you go. A combination of presuming people are their appearance and not realising that most people are not beautiful to start off with and their appearance is fake. We've all seen the pics of celebs without make-up, they're nothing special. I'm liking how the beauty industry has become slightly more inclusive of those who have never been considered beautiful or worthy of being promoted as such.

You know I hate it when people assume that people are stupid, saying op you assume.... Anyway people seem to have missed the point. What I mean is nothing to do with how talented people are and so on. It's really not that important it's just an inane post to try and get people talking about stuff other than, do women like big or small cocks... And all the other repetitive thread's. That's all, nothing deep and meaningful. I'm ugly so it's really not important to me at all. To answer all the points raised. Yes,yes, no,maybe, sometimes, 1924,and bacon.

Many struggle to do a traditional job after being hot-housed from their early teens and constantly being told that this one skill is not only amazing but the only thing about them that they get praise for.

" I never said you were stupid, i said you were assumptious. That's how you came across because you asked would they have to learn new skills, this implies to me that you thought they had nothing else to offer but their looks, which is understandable. Quite often it's a surprise that many people have one image, media promoted, and another real them that is very deep and meaningful and the opposite of what we thought they were because it was advantageous to promote the fake image. I found it a good topic else i wouldn't have replied, don't think there's enough decent discussions in here myself.
