I went into the train station once. I was being picked up by friends and I was expressly forbidden from walking past the coffee shop alone. Didn't inspire confidence

Wolverhampton is my home city! I remember when Wolverhampton was thriving, used to have a great night life and business was booming, now it's like a ghost town. Most people in it look like contenders to go on the Jeremy Kyle show these days no matter what though always feels good to see the "welcome to Wolverhampton" road signs (think there's a few that survived the tat man) these days I avoid Wolverhampton because I can't stand to see it in its current state, although I think there is far worse out there

Unfortunately Ive lived in Wolves for the last 18 years and yes its very drab. Its just got worse as the years have gone by. As for the other people that live here I can understand them being down too as lots of large businesses have shut and they find it hard to find other employment. Money seems to be spent on catering for Students needs lately. Shopping wise the centre is full of cheap shops and charity shops. Personally I don't even shop there unless I need something desperately. Prefer to head for Telford or even further afield for a day out.

Moved here from the south west.... Nothing wrong with the place, shopping is great( if you go to Birmingham 20 mins away) countryside is great ( the wreckin 20 mins away) decent football team( as soon as we sell the club) some of the best pubs in the uk( agree or disagree, if you don't enjoy a night out in wolves, you ain't doing it right) the point is, yeah Wolves is a shit hole, but it's MY Shithole.

I'd take it over London Birmingham Manchester Newcastle any day of the week ! Wolves Ay We

If it has just kebab shops charity shops and bookies maybe you could twin it with Sunderland who have won the award numerous times and just edging out Middlesboro

I used to go clubbing in wolves in the late 90's and early 00's. Was always a great night out but I've not been for a few years so no idea what it's like for a night out there now?

nothing wrong with Wolves, nice compact colourful characterful little city. Great twn centre, some belting clubs/bars/restaurants and some of best concert halls outside London, infinitely preferable to Birmingham. I speak as a Londoner who relocated to Shropshire and hence use Wolves for gigs/theatre a lot. I believe they also have a well attended football club, but not my cuppa frankly

coseley is between wolverhampton and dudddlayyy 4 scrap yards and a pond

I know where it is

I must be looking at a different place to you though cause there's certainly more than four scrap yards and a pond there, there's some quite nice areas in coseley, maybe you should get off the Hugh street once in a while "

The town centre is a dive! Every other shop is shut now. Needs a complete revamp.

Central

I've nothing but good to say about the people there who are friendly and welcoming. Lots of great things in the area too.

"I'm a south Londoner now living the Black Country and I love it, I have a 2 bed house instead of a shoe box the people are friendly though I must say I was shocked at the amount of racism when I first arrived....I'm not far from Brum not far from Chams and Xstasia there are worse places than the Black Country

Did you meet Roger in Brummie, or bring him from the Smoke?
