Not hard at all, if you have a good relationship with your colony then all is good, during the Warner month when the bees are out you'll need to work with them once a week, during the winter I check them once a month only, as long as they have food they ok.

Seek out your local bee keepers association, always good for advice there.

Thornes of wragby sell all you need to start up.......

Oh the post got deleted Google flow hive.

Seems quite a cool system for the supers to cut most of the harvesting labour

Our local green grocer stall man keeps bees. Eating locally sourced honey is supposed to help hay fever sufferers.

in the night garden

My friend Mark (who is a ninja) said there is no such thing as bees they are drones created by the US government in the early 1900's with alien technology.

Notice how they are no cool bee stories before 1900?

I rest my case.

I've heard it's great for crohns, I'm not eating it for the taste I've got the 15+ stuff, willing to try anything that'll help.

try royal jelly. the only difference between a worker bee and a queen bee is the length of time they are fed royal jelly. supposedly has some good property's. all the best.

Thought about it for years but younger kids and a dog may not be the best thing to do.

put a fence round the hive. the bees fly over it and continue at that height. very educational. feed there minds. and gets them kudos points at school too
