New Massage oil suggestion.

Hello All,

I am looking at getting some new massage oil to add / build into my collection.

.

Currently I mainly use the Body Shop - Monoi Miracle Oil.

As it has a nice but not overpowering aroma.

It soaks in well and isn't too oily.

I find it better for sensual / erotic massage as I don't want to be slip sliding all over the place with something too oily and runny.

.

So (I know each to their own) but do any of you have any suggestions or considerations on oil selection that I should look into.

Thanks for any help / advice provided.

Awesome. I found I had to add water to it after a few rubs, it's too thick.

I was quite generous when giving a massage and by the time it was getting absorbed into the skin I was done lol! The first time someone used it on me they kept using more so being generous enough might be the key.

It tastes ok too!

I have one from Boots... it's a long, thin purple bottle. I'll go have a poke when I get off my arse and let you know. Smells great!

Thanks all.

Appreciate your opinions and suggestions.

Always happy to receive more.

And 'DirtyGirl' if you do have the name of the boots one?

That would be perfect.

Otherwise I'm searching Boots for a thin purple one.

Happy fun Tuesday everyone.

It's from the Essential Aromatherapy range. Sensuous massage oil with ylang ylang and patchouli.

Patchouli my mum and auntie wore this all the time in the 80s. Can't bare the smell!

Thaun, please stick to the one you currently use, I like that one

bio-oil is great for massage. It's not strictly a massage oil but it is warming, which relaxes and only has a mild scent.

Coconut oil. It's amazing. We just it all time. You can buy one in boots. That's the one we use and I haven't found anything bad about it yet

We even use it for oral play

I use that on my face and it does smell great but not too strong. Not cheap though as oils go but it's really good for scar tissue.

I know you like the one I currently use

But no harm in picking up something different to add to the list.

Making a nice change.

Besides..

New oils means I need a willing volunteer to help test them out on.

Completely agree.

It's a great oil and helps out with so many little things.

Great to use after shaving both facially and below.

Never considered it as a massage oil but it does last and spreads really easily.

So may give it a go sometime.

And thanks for the details on the Boots oil.

Thanks.

Couple of recommendations for coconut oil.

And I have seen it referenced previously.

So may need to check it out.

Will see if I can find it in food places.

Onto the bay of eeeeeees and search for Zheng gu shui.

Great for easing muscular pain.

Don't get it on anything "sensitive" though.....

I have a really nice one at the moment from La Sultane de Saba ''Journey of the Spice Route''

It is 100% Shea butter with amber vanilla and patchouli...it comes as a solid so you warm it up in your hands and its also a great hair treatment

Expensive at £33 a jar so reserved for special friends massages

Now that sounds like a great special treat.

As you say, expensive.

But worth it if it helps provide a great massage.

May have to check it out.

Hahaha it comes in a lovely jar too which can be recycled if you're into making chutney jam or pickle

I might like using my hands.

But I don't think it stretches to making pickles. Lol

So might have to use the jar for something else.

One thing you could do is buy your own base oil and add the scent of your choice. With small amount of research on the internet you can find out what characteristics you would like in your base oil. I like Fractionated Coconut oil because it is relatively inexpensive, light, slightly more slippery than other oils (good for sensual massage) and it doesn't stain clothing and bed linen. After that just add a drop or two of the essential oil/s of your choice for the scent. Happy massaging!
