Ever since I joined fab I've had very strict age barriers (25-40) and I've never wavered.

So I'm extending my ages from 25-50 for a few weeks to see if I really am missing out. What do you think?

The forums have very little bearing on who I would meet. They aren't a true representation of the whole site. She could think no to every man on the forums but yes to many who have never been on here.

If you go to a club you don't go around asking age, its a far more fluid thing based around lots of contributing factors, if you feel you may be missing out OP then by all means have a look, don't let others scare stories deter you

Personally, fifties guys are definitely the way to go ... I went from having fuck buddies in their twenties and thirties to my partner and it was like being with a real man for the first time in my life. I agree with this completely. I've met many guys over 40. It's my preferred age group. But if the forum was representative of that i would give up.

Yeah you have to apply the filter or they can message you. They get a warning about you being not interested but can still message.

I've realised that since hitting 50 a lot of filters stop at 49 so ladies you're missing out. I've been told my body and stamina can put many younger men to shame.

In my head I'm 30 with 20 more years experience..

To be serious though there are 40year olds who look and act 50+ , and there are 50+ who look and act 40 so you may still miss out and still be bothered by numpties.

I think its a case of attraction. On the whole I'm attracted to guys my own age more. There'll always be the rare older guy I'm attracted to though but I'll search for those myself and keep my filters on.

If you have strict age limits you are definitely missing out unless you are looking for something it is impossible to have outside those limits.

That does not mean that everyone you meet outside those age limits will be suitable; just as it does not mean everyone within that age limits will be suitable.

We keep the limits wide and judge people on their own merits as individuals.

Have you decided what it is you are really looking for and whether those outside your limits could or could not have those attributes?

If you have strict age limits you are definitely missing out unless you are looking for something it is impossible to have outside those limits.

That does not mean that everyone you meet outside those age limits will be suitable; just as it does not mean everyone within that age limits will be suitable.

Why not see what response you get. ..how one is and what they look like is not always determined by age. When I tell people my age in real life they...are often suprised...think I am 7 or 8 years younger than I am. And iit's a matter of mentality too...off course.

"Why not see what response you get. ..how one is and what they look like is not always determined by age. When I tell people my age in real life they...are often suprised...think I am 7 or 8 years younger than I am. And iit's a matter of mentality too...off course."

I'm not saying there are no 40+ men that I find attractive and as someone who looks much younger myself I'm aware that age doesn't always matter. But the 40+ guys who message me on the whole aren't what I'm looking for. Hence why I'll search for them instead.

More likely to get a sexy interesting man going from ages 35 to 55 obviously some really are not suitable . But that's the same with women of that age

"I've given up and reapplied my upper age limit lol didn't even last a day."

It disheartened me when i raised my age limit. I thought older men would be smarter than the young 'uns that don't read profiles and send gross messages. I found out older men were just the same.
