Run away

Sometimes things get too much, and I feel the need to run away for a while, somewhere with Mountains, Forests and Lakes for me.

Where do you want to run away to when the need arises?

"A visit to the beach in any weather "

I agree, the weather doesn't matter in places like that, at those times.

I sometimes wonder what life would be like for an entire year living in the country side away from everything else....

either that or just a secluded get away for a month with no television, computers, internet or technology etc..

Clubs. I vanish into one, forget the world outside and play.

If I really need to hit reset I see my Domme and she beats me so hard thinking about anything else is impossible.

I used to just ride the subway in NY for hours to "get away" from everything.

I don't have a place in the UK, yet. Still looking

I don't have a particular place.

Often I'll just get my trainers in and go for a run for a quick fix.

Sometimes I'll just get in the car and drive. No idea where to go and sometimes end up in the middle of nowhere where I can just switch off for an hour

I used to feel this way, just keep on walking having no idea where you'd end up be it a forest or wherever.....find that taking 5 or 10 minutes to sit quietly and concentrate on your breathing helps greatly and also yoga (when the dogs don't try and join in )

Unfortunately I don't get a chance to retreat anywhere on my own as my ex is with me constantly (well apart from meets abs bedtime) sometimes I wish I could escape and be alone in a coffee shop or go for a walk.

I know people who have tried this, a lot come running back, because without distraction, they begin to see truth, and it frightens them, happened to me in my twenties.

That's why I like bad weather, the added bonus is the return to a nice warm home and grub.

I have a building site across the road, I like to escape the noise, I do use Qigong though.

I have to confess to running away for years!

I like things to be temporary ....

I think having a balance of months a year in different places makes such a difference to my quality of life.

Up until 3 years ago I spent every winter for 15 years in Goa from November - April

Amongst other places - I'm currently in Berlin and it's FREEZING!

I'm not impressed!

I need the palm trees

I find that with the Peaks, but I have discovered a couple of secret little places out there, I sit and brew up Green Tea on my stove, and eat some goodies whilst listening to the birds, bliss.

I feel everyone needs it, even if they think they don't, being alone in a beautiful place give me energy and helps get my mind together again.
