Good Afternoon / Evening Fabbers and Friends

My the chill of Autumn is finally with us. We had some gorgeous but chilly leafcrunchy walks today. It’s been a busy old one here. I have finally purchased my Halloween costume, nothing too scary as the children of the village pop round to see Pooch. We make a piñata , the design is yet to be decided , Pooch is busy with his propelling Pencil and designers easel sketching up plans. Nothing too lavish I hope Pooch.

Oh it’s been a day of jobs too. We have pruned back our roses ready for winter, taking care to take some cuttings ready for a new border next year. Leaves collected ready to be made into compost. Changed the sparking plugs on our automobile and given the old girl a quick spruce up to boot. Oh new window screen wipers too. Phew what a day!

I was glum to see a thread earlier posted by someone who was reluctant to post as they believed they would be criticised also someone else complaining of a clique with in our Lounge. So in an endeavour to bring back some jolliness todays quest is

Make someone Smile. It doesn’t have to be someone you know on the site . Maybe a nice message a poem or who knows what.

The only thing that makes me smile right now is a lady friend of mine...she knows who she is I was reading a well known poem the other day (yes I like to read poetry!) and it made me think of her. Here's a little excerpt...

But our love it was stronger by far than the love

One of my horses has made me smile today. She isn't really one for cuddles or being touched she is quite grumpy but today she has been abit nicer. I think she knows I'm not very well again

I help out in the stables here and I find animals are more in tune with how we feel and our state of health than most people could understand

Running along the downs holding hands with my son giggling together kicking leaves.

Phone calls from my 18 month old grandson babbling away to me are the things that brightened m6 weekend, then to top it I had big cuddles from him
