Use Google to find if the site is legitimate.

You can be refused a loan if you don't have any credit.

I'm sure you can get a copy of your credit file for about £2?

B & M Bargains

Noddle is just a way of checking your credit rating. I think it just charges a fee if you want details

"I'm sure you can get a copy of your credit file for about £2?"

I used money advice service it cost me £2

Turned out I had bought a car that I never made a payment on, obviously this came as a shock to me as I have epilepsy and don't have a drivers licence

Somebody had used my details but I got it sorted

Recently went through a mortgage application and was told by the Halifax mortgage advisor that noddle was a waste of time and not a site that they would ever use/listen to.

South East Midlands NOT

Noddle is run by callcredit and is free for life. I've been using it for about a year and never been charged, but I remember they did ask for my debit details, which is the way they verify you. I've never been charged a penny. Don't pay £29.99 or even £2 when you can get it for free.

Noddle IS genuine.

Funny, because my independent mortgage advisor advised me to use it.

"why doesnt she just use experian or equifax? they are the companies the banks and lenders use."

And they will also ask for debit card details so they can charge you 30 quid if you forget to cancel in the 30 days.

But if you just make sure you don't forget, then it hasn't cost you anything and you have access to exactly what the lender will have used for their decision.

I use noddle. They have never charged me anything. I get an updated credit report every few months. Just shows the basics, but I don't need to see anything more in depth.

I did so assume anyone else using the service would as well. As with equifax/experian, everyone else, it's a way of verifying the person and charging them if a chargeable service is provided.

Chams or Socials

"Experian or Equifax."

These!! I'm a debt collector & we use these.

You will have a free period of about 28 days but have to put in bank details then payment will automatically be taken from bank (about £5) - it's well worth doing, get the report & cancel straight away!!!
