" to do lists"

I don't mean sexually or daily "to do lists"

I was reading a magazine article, where the women had made a "life to do list" from the age of 15.

Eg: fall in love, bungee jump etc.

Has any of you been like this? If so, did you tick everything off of it?

I don't see my life as a list. I used to have career goals, but then life happened.

I realized that lists are pointless. For me, anyway.

I saw that article. The lady did well and I liked some of the ones she achieved which included kissing under water.

But it was a let down as she swallowed water in a coupletter of seconds.

I do lists when planning things for work, holidays, Xmas, in fact for pretty much everything apart from "life"

There are some things I just want to enjoy not plan

All sorts, going to Paris for one of us, a 3some for one of us (not me either!).

I wanted a diamond ring. Sadly I got my Mum's when she died

No I've never viewed life as a sequence of goals to achieve. That's possibly because I have to deal with little chunks at a time due an habitual sense of 'winging it', so I try to be content with the little wins ie, my children are fed, my house is clean and I've done some college work (go Nell!)

This is like me. I don't want a list because I worry I'd make decisions differently to fit it and just to tick things off for the sake of it.

I think I'm getting to this stage too. There's still plenty I want to achieve and lots still to do. Probably only a few MUST do things though. Best get cracking...

I've never been one for lists, my main goal in life is in the raising of my children to have the most opportunities in life that I can give them.... Other than that I tend to bump along like some sort of brownium motion and live for the moment.

This isn't always a good thing....

I had a list of twenty possibly achievable things to do before I was 40. Managed to do 18, only failed on driving East to west coat in U.S. and learning to play guitar. Bought a guitar aged 39 but failed to master it though. Will do the whole U.S. road trip one day buy possibly when I retire and emigrate again.

I suppose the next things on my list are to sell my flat and buy a house, and give up my part time job so I only have to work my full time one. I may not be able to give it up totally but it's looking good that I can cut back after Xmas

I will never afford my own place, but more than happy renting. I plan on working full time in a couple of years.
