"I think that may be more to do with upbringing, the values you set your child. but I do hope they are , it would be great to see an inclusive world" I think you might be right. He also self identifies as a feminist and signed up for Emma Watson's he for she equality campaign.

"Yesterday one of my sons friends came out as bi to him. My son is 13. His whole reaction amazed me. He couldn't care less. He isn't bothered one iota and I couldn't be more proud. Their friendship hasnt changed at all. I raised him right clearly. Are today's youth more accepting and open about sexuality? " My eldest's best friend did the same around Easter about being gay. Didn't tell his own parents for a few more weeks until I told him they would be fine as long as he was happy. My son just listened. Their relationship is stronger than ever & my son has become quite protective.

"Yes they are, but its still down to the parents. I child may "know" they are bi or gay earlier but if they don't have someone they can talk openly with its still going to be as big an issue for them as it ever was. It's hard work teaching your kids about sexuality, relationships, emotions etc. You always wonder if you've covered everything and they understand properly. Sounds like you've done a good job " I am proud of him in every way but his attitude to others makes me especially proud. Not only is he accepting of peoples sexuality, if he hears others being mean he always challenges it.

"Youth are more open to it solely because sex is virtually the norm in mainstream media... only have to listen to a few 'chart-toppers' lol. Its funny because while i'm on a swingers site, i'd still consider myself fairly romantic. it saddens me to see a society where romance is dead due to the simple over exposure to sex. Leaves nothing to the imagination and thats my pride and joy Also been debating recently whether to become more 'dick-ish' in order to gain the interest of women. I decided against it simply because i value and take pride in who i am... but I work in an environment where being a dick, basically gets a guy all the attention he wants. nice guys get fucked about way too much for them to stay nice guys for too long... thoughts on this?? do you prefer a nice guy or a 'bad guy' (p.s dont get me wrong nice guys can have confidence but alot (not all) of women seem to thrive off ego, then turn to the nice guys when shit hits the fan) " please note this is referring to the younger generation... i failed to specify that

And that's a good thing. But I agree with other posters that it's a lot to do with the way they are brought up. My children have a lesbian aunty and a gay uncle (different sides of the family) but they don't even bat an eyelid that they have same sex partners. We talk about things like that sometimes, in the 'you love who you love' context. And that's how I hope they grow up. I think you've done a fantastic job OP xx

"If children are able to have an open and on-going conversation with their parents about these subjects from a very early age, then by the time puberty hits and children become aware of their sexuality, tolerance, respect and acceptance will be instinctive." This...
