Cheshire

Great programme , but actually quite scary at the same time.

Apparently there is a mountain range that runs alongside the park , with an 8 mile wide gap in it , apparently this was caused the last time the volcano erupted!!!

Gulps and goes to hide in cellar!!

Monmouth

I camped in and around Yellowstone many years back when backpacking round the US, and was driving around a not-very-touristy area one morning when the track gradually disappeared and I was left with a short footpath up to a gate with a very small sign on it. I got out of the car and walked up to the sign, expecting some kind of description of the flora/fauna I was about to see on the other side of the gate. The sign said (or words to this effect) "DO NOT get out of your vehicle, bears wander freely in this area. Danger of death".

I got back in my car. Lovely place though

I love this.. I am signed up to an email from Yellowstone park.. I get a graph with all the geological changes at the park.. but then I like things about geology and Yellowstone caldera is amazing..

I was getting worried this time last year as there was a rather big increase in earthquake swarms..and ground rise, but it settled.. Thankfully..

However I am always aware that it could change.. but no point worrying about it as there would be nothing we could do about it except it carries on being overdue for erruption. :D

It is a beautiful but deadly place, I want to go there.. but my Auntie has this habit of everytime she visits somewhere there is either an earthquake or volcanic erruption during or immediately after she leaves, so we have always banned her from going to Yellowstone.. and in case it runs in the family I am not chancing it..

lol

Katie. x

inactive is the wrong word... dormant would be more like it (I only know this because the one from montserrat where my mum comes from went up after almost hundreds of years)

anyway we are due a big one from yellowstone.. the reckon one every 150,000 years... and the last one was about 150,000 years ago give or take....

panic!!!!!! lol
