So ive had a guy on here message me who is a bit of a hunk. I looked at his pictures and thought hmmmmm this doesnt look right to me.

I investigate fraud for a living and decided to carry out a image search on his pics. . . And as i suspected i was right!!!

Hes only gone and used someones pictures who was on take me out on his profile.

Catfishes are everywhere . . .

I had someone message me earlier today.

His torso pics looked too good to be true so I asked him if they were his.

He said yes but from a few months ago.

Did a search on Google reverse image and surprise surprise, they came up on there

Told him he was a liar and now he's hidden his profile and blocked me

Maybe he didn't realise it didn't stop me reporting him.

I had this from a dating site, few months back before I knew about the reverse thing, he sent me this picture and was amazing, until I googled imaged 'gym' pictures, he didn't try very hard only second page in!!

I've shopped loads of fake cocks, you can always tell them - magnificent beast standing bolt upright in perfect focus with a dark background....and all the rest of the pics fuzzy daylight numbers. Yeah right!

I've had similar,I think guys seem to think we're daft. Mine was exactly the same pic apart from a completely 20 years younger face

Never OVER-estimate the power of Google: there are many sites one can steal pics from without risk of them showing up in a reverse-image search, Facebook being the most common.

I seldom report, and never contact the person, it just means they open a new profile and you have to start from scratch.

Besides, reporting too many profiles can get you into trouble...

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would do this.

Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder, is only skin deep, blah blah blah and amen to that, but if you think have a face like a blind cobbler's thumb and the same care put into your appearance as Catweasel then why use images of yourself that depict such outrageous lies?

As soon as you actually meet the object of your affections they will probably tell you to fuck off in no uncertain terms. Whereas if you confess upfront visually to looking like something the proverbial cat dragged in then any meetings you do manage to get you're more likely to end with up to your prunes?

Some people beggar belief, they really do...

For those who don't know how, this is my favorite way:

Download a plug in off of Google (I have Firefox so I use their add-ons). Both Google reverse image search and tineye are good. I personally used both.

Onxe you have downloaded it, you can right click on any image and choose the reverse image button. And the search will open in another tab, and will even show visually similar images in case the pic has been slightly altered.

I often do this when a new profile looks to good to be true. Had one earlier this week and tineye brought up a lot of results. Reported the same to admin and dealt with very quickly which I appreciate

Oh my god this sums up all that's wrong about thus crazy debauched world.

Not the fact you use such a thing to vet its the fact you have to that's so wrong about this crazy world, dear god what are the guys or women if any use fake pictures thinking the mind boggles are people really that desperate for meets or is it about tricking proving something on a deeper level .

I'd love to know what a physiatrist would make of such behavior .

I do this all the time, it's very easy to do on my android phone. I'd say at least 10% of photos on male most fabbed are stolen from the wed, as are quite a few on the "all" section of most fabbed. I've reported a few, but after reading Mr ddc's post I'm not sure I should now. Could you explain why please?

Cos I messaged the guy on Twitter. It seems they have made a tinder account also. I pulled this profile up on it and they blocked me . . . So I'd guess I caught him out
