Cannock

Didn't have one myself but my brother had a Honda 90 when we were teenagers. Used to ride it over the local quarry and over on cannock chase forest, the forestry commission chased us on it once.

When I was at school a moped referred to a particular type of girl.....you'd ride them but wouldn't let your mates know.....yes it was childish but then we were young

Didnt have a moped in the mod style. I had a Yamaha FT50 mx. Red and white. It used to leave all the other 50cc bikes in its dust as it topped out at 50mph not 30 like it was meant to. Loved that bike but once I got old enough for a bigger bike I got a car instead

Puch 50, dt50, clunk50 & 90 and a cb 100 piece of crap.

Put a 65cc kit on the dt got around 50mph from it, fun at the time though I once got overtaken by a girl on a horse.

Scunthorpe

My first moped was a Honda Vision, mine was possibly the worst machine ever built. It was restricted in such a way that it actually went faster up-hill than it did down-hill. The top speed was about 27 on a really good day and running flat out sound of the engine produced a perfect D... I could tune my guitar from it.

After I killed the Vision though I had a Suzuki TS50 with a 90 kit on it... that was somewhat nippier around town.

I did as well. Great little trials bikes they were. So much poke for a tiny machine.

Mine was a Yamaha Passola. Had it for about two months. Then dragged my Dad down to the local bike shop. Got him to sign the HP as I was only 16. Bought a 12 month old FS1E. One of the last ones made. Red paint job, with white and yellow decals. Oh and yellow fork gaters. Still wish I had it now. They are worth a more than they were new.lol

I had a bright red 1980 Honda MT50 restricted to 30 mph which made it lethal, I put a Fresco exhaust that promised to make it go faster, it actually made it go slower. I would pull the clutch in going down hill to keep up with my mates on FSIE's and AP50's. It was rubbish but i loved it! it was my bike!

I moved onto a Yamaha RD125 twin. Lovely bike.

I rode a lot of friends bikes but moved onto cars early.

My KTM was a good moped, my mates Honda SS50 was absolutely awful. So slow it was dangerous.

Never had a moped. Ma first bike was a Honda CB 100, then had 2 Yamaha RD 200's. progressed to a couple of RD 400's, one of which was Beckett Tuned and was considerably faster round the Isle Of Man circuit than ma Kawasaki Z750 L1 and most RD 500's at the time

Every bike I ever owned got stripped down and completely rebuilt to the last nut & bolt though. My Dad cursed me when he regularly kicked a crankcase or piston on the stairs

I never had one but thinking of getting one, but would prefer a small motorcycle - subject to the scheme that's run here and availability. They include CBT etc and hire - so I'd get some road experience, ready to have a bigger bike.
