Anyone who saw the TV this morning ''s breakfast on the BBC must has raised an eyebrow about the article discussing "bothies"

These are small buildings free for any one rambling around the countryside.

The idea is you share these with whoever happens to show up. They're used for free overnight accommodation in very basic conditions.... and then the penny drops! No more cottaging for some and a dry place to do dogging...

which is a nice idea but the location of most of them are in the middle of nowhere..

Great thought but distance from roads and civilisation put many off! Shame but would generally consist of a group of blokes hauling themselves up a mountain only to find a load more blokes waiting for the rare woman to come along!!
