Sorry not my Type

People who say this really annoy me.What your saying is that there is only two or more types of people. Every single person is diffrent and as such there is no such thing as type because every single person is unique. How about saying sorry but your not for me.

What on earth is the difference between 'you're not my type' and 'you're not for me'...both imply the other person is not attracted to you.

Personally I am very happy to receive this kind of message rather than just being ignored or having a message deleted with no response..

Brighton - even Hove!

I'm not for you because you're not my type.....like that lady said, it means the same. Everyone can't like everyone and will pick and choose. It's the Quality Street of potential sexual partners.....soft ones, hard ones, ones you don't like, ones that go quickly, ones that take a long time, wrapped ones, cheap ones, tasty ones....

And those getting sex and those that are not. And.....

You could chunk this up to "we are all living on this planet, so we are the same".

Semantics are a minefield of presupposition sometimes.

Jeez, OP, it was a nice way of saying "I'm not interested" or "I don't fancy you".

I gave up with replying to people I wasn't interested in precisely for this reason, they either took Uxbridge that I didn't want to drop my knickers for them, or they sent endless messages asking "why not".

Those two things don't equate at all. Look, some people will find you attractive, others won't. That is their right. It doesn't matter how they word it, they still don't want you.

It's a generic term for - no thanks. It doesn't need to be dissected; either way, if you get this message it just isn't going to happen.

Another phrase that you may wish to challenge: Blow job, the person giving them sucks your cock not blows.

And I'm sure there's a load more that you could tear apart too (no, I didn't mean literally - unless you intend to write them on a piece of paper and rip it up - didn't want to cause any concussion).

I rarely contact anyone first, The only occasion is threads on here I might bite the bullet and compliment them in some way but I'm fully aware I may get a message back 'thanks' which says so many things to me but I just move on.

I never message guys away from the forum though, simply because I am a 'type' and I don't always feel confident that the guy will respond with a complimentary response, so I don't bother.

This has never happened to me, because i never contact guys. I wait like a spider and wait for them to contact me.

If they aren't my type, I just ignore, it's more more subtle way than replying and saying " you are not my type"

If someone has pissed me off, I message back and say "you are not my type"

Everyone wants to think they are everyone's type, being rejected with words hurts.

Hey, I'm autistic and don't see the world like this.

But doesn't autism affect people differently? "

It does, yes. Sorry, I'm being prickly. People are only ever asked upon displaying seemingly negative traits, such as being pedantic or inflexible thinking. It would be lovely if, for once, somebody asked it in response to something positive, "wow, that's amazing! Are you autistic?"

OMG...the same thought occurred to me, too.

I had a similar problem with a guy who admitted having Aspergers. He absolutely refused to accept that I didn't fancy him and pedantically argued the point that I wouldn't know without trying.

Exasperating.

no your attitude is not fine, I like all different types of men,I don't have a type until someone messages me and I like something about them, they can be short, tall, different hair colour, age personality.

I also don't have a certain thing I don't like until I see it. People fall into two categories on here, those you want to get to know (your type) and those you don't want to get to know (not hour type) its as easy and simple as that

Yes everyone is different. Some are tall, some are short, some slim, some larger, some arrogant and some lovely.

I like tall dark haired guys with strong arms, tatts, and a cheeky grin. I also like dark and red haired curvy ladies. I especially like laid back fun people with a sense of humour. Those are my type. Occasionally I will meet someone who may not match all of those but they will match some. Equally I will sometimes meet people who match none of those, they are not my type.

I really don't understand why you're having difficulty grasping that.

Op, clearly you don't take rejection very well, but the majority of people on here are polite and non offensive, we all choose to turn someone down for many reasons just be greatful that they were polite and not list the things that don't attract them to you

Having read your profile OP, you are trying to change you and that may make you appeal people who would not meet you before the change..... and you are doing it for you, in the same way as people who would reject you before the change are doing it for them. It's about finding compatibility both psychical and mentally.

good luck with your quest

it would only be offensive if you saw having autism as a bad thing, there have been people on here in the past showing exactly the same characteristics as the op who have openly said they have autism, if the op did have autism it would give more of an incite into why he thinks like he does.

Bottom line is on here generally when you message someone you're messaging them because you're interested in shagging them.

I can't see why people get so butthurt over rejection, you hear moaning when a message gets deleted, you hear moaning when you get a not my type response....you can't win.

Chances are if your out in town and try chat a lass up and she's not interested you'll get told to fuck off

My guess is you don't go on Facebook and declare to the world that no two people are the same etc.

Sorry dude but you're looking waaaaaay too deep into this, accept they wasn't interested for whatever reason and don't get hung up on it.

I must be honest OP. By posting this thread and commenting further you are merely cementing the opinion that you are indeed a "type of person".

You seem like a pretty bitter individial and someone who feels like they have some sort of entitlement.

My "type" are people who are fun, well mannered and don't take life too seriously and you are clearly not my type in that respect.

Sorry but you're not for me is no different to you're not my type, most people will go on the first visual _iew of someone in terms of if they find them attractive so if someone says it to you it just means they don't fancy you.

Surely the two "not for me" "not my type" lines are better than " I find you ugly as fuck, so it's a no"

I always say you get one chance to make a fantastic first impression.....

ask yourself this.....

what kind of impression do you think you are making right now....

my first impression is "negativity"... and why would i want that i am here to meet fun people!!!!!!

you can sometimes make a better impression in person... and if you think you are that person, then get out there to clubs, and get out there to socials..... there is your answer!!!!!!

but at the moment hiding behind 3 lines of a shop window to the world isn't going to show off the best of you to the world!!!!!!

you get out what you put in..... if you know you are better in person and want to be seen as an individual.... there is your road.... start going down it!!!!

I don't see being autistic as being a negative at all. What's negative is assuming that someone is this or that because of certain traits. That's being stereotypical!!! And offensive!

The op started the thread and replied a couple of times and from that it means he is autistic??? Extremely judgemental!!!

Sorry, OP, but I'm going to have to be blunt.

GET OVER IT.

Get a thicker skin. If someone doesn't find you attractive or they're not interested in you for whatever reason they're allowed to tell you without you feeling all rejected and throwing a childish little strop. EVERYONE will suffer rejection on this site. If you can't accept that, well maybe this site just isn't for you. And believe me, you will ~not~ be doing yourself any favours with threads like these.

Sorry OP but for me there are simply 2 types of men on here...those I find sexually attractive and want to meet, and those I have no interest in. Your attitude is precisely why I make my preferences very clear and don't reply to those who don't fit what I'm looking for.

And before you say that's rude or ignorant, the site FAQS state that a no reply should be taken as not interested.

"OP, people word things differently.

It's good they replied, I wouldn't get yourself to annoyed about it.

It happens to all of us i am not saying that it isnt good that they replied. What i am saying i dont like the fact that i was told i am some type of person. When in fact i am diffrent and so is everybody else.

Why do you have such a bee in your bonnet about it? Why do you care how they phrase it? Either way they're not interested in you.

I've just had a message from a single guy, I replied that he wasn't my type. His response was "boo, that's a pity". Maybe for him, but not for me. I'm not going to waste my precious time meeting people I don't find attractive, there's no point to it. I would rather be told sorry i dont find you attractive then being told sorry i compared you to someone else who i didnt like and going to put you in a box with him.OK, so if someone told you they didn't find you attractive wouldn't they be putting you in the same box as everyone else they didn't find attractive Maybe but i wouldnt be compared i would be put in the box as me. "

I have no idea what that means. Going by your profile pic I would say you're not my type, I don't find you attractive

Op if you are so annoyed by that turn of phrase then simply just say on your profile for people to respond they don't fancy you if not interested ! Or just pull up your big girl panties and realise you can't dictate other inderviduals response to your message!

It's precious little wonder people don't reply to messages when this reaction happens! Next time someone bitches they get zero replies they can be directed here ! Getting to stage you want a set of site approved responses so you ensure the person doesn't take umbridge at some non existent slight !

"But it doesnt mean the same thing at all and thats the problem. Its like saying that every single car is the same because it can get you from a to b when in reality there are loads of diffrent cars.

A serious question. Are you autistic?I've already assumed this why because i dont line up like a bunch of mindless zombies and use my brain.

but no common sense - you are doing yourself a huge disfavour with this attitude My attitude is fine i just dont like the fact that i being compared to someone else and shoved into a box. Also people who cant understand that every single person is diffrent i wouldnt go there."

Ahh but you are going there and you are quite correct everybody is different and as such they will not always reply to you in a manner which you are going to find acceptable, why? because they are different to you.

My Mrs wouldn't fancy you you are not her type because you have facial hair, she doesn't like facial hair, you are the type that has facial hair, you may not all be the same, different lengths, trimmed differently even the hairs shape may be different but no matter how you break it down you won't be getting in her knickers because. ....... you guessed it you aren't a type that she finds attractive.

"My attitude is fine i just dont like the fact that i being compared to someone else and shoved into a box. Also people who cant understand that every single person is diffrent i wouldnt go there.

If humans didnt have personality i would agree as then you can sort in types. Useing your example you say you like tall dark haired guys with strong arms. So you have two men with tall dark haired guys standing next to each other but both are diffrent each one acts diffrently etc one might be funny one might be serious. Therefore they are diffrent you may like the funny one but not the serious one."

Hence the comment that everyone is different. If I liked the look of both of those guys, I would be drawn to both. Just because someone is serious it doesn't mean I would avoid them. Just as someone who might look completely different might appeal to me for some reason.

The point, the WHOLE point, is that there needs to be something there to attract. If I don't find someone physically attractive, I won't pursue it. I don't think because they look like another guy I wasn't attracted to I'm not attracted to them. It doesn't work like that.

Whoever has upset you has looked at your profile and message, seen nothing there to attract them, and decided that you are not for them. That is going to happen a lot, you need to find a better way to deal with it.

It's how you deal with it!

... Not how its done!

Personally im thankful if i get a no thanks your not my type... saves wasting time.

Maybe we all petition Fabadmin to have a reject button... and a reason option which is forwarded automatically:-

1) Sorry, I don't fancy you.

2) Sorry, you're not my type.

3) Sorry, my lttle black book is full.

4) Sorry, you don't float my boat.

5) Sorry, you haven't read my profile.

6) Sorry, you're not my colour.

7) Sorry, I don't like your cock shots.

8) Sorry, You're not my orientation.

9) Sorry, I don't do gingers.

10) Sorry, I dont do men who wear cuban heels.

11) Sorry, not my size preference

( Have I forgotten anything ? )

Then you can choose their own reason as to why they rejected you, and it might make you feel better...

Not that it matters, they still said NO!

I try to answer every message I get so that I don't appear rude. But when I say ur not my type. I get bombarded with questions... what's ur type, please give me a chance, we will be good together etc. I am saying ur not my type because I do not find u sexually attractive. You don't have to be a super model with a big cock or big tits. It's just something that clicks when u see their photo. I have had it said to me and I just accept their honesty and move on.

I think this is one of those threads that requires a 'Do not feed the troll' warning.

The OP isn't 'valiantly fighting his corner' as someone previously stated. He is merely digging his heels in saying 'I'm right and you're all wrong.'

I'm going to hazard a guess that the OP hasn't messaged everyone on the site asking for a meet (well, he certainly hasn't asked me ) so I can only assume that he does the same as the rest of us - messages those who catch his eye for whatever reason and passes the others by. By those actions he is automatically negating his own argument by placing us into two types - those who he'd like to meet and those who he doesn't. I'm guessing the latter would form the 'not my type' category

You're male- that's one type

Your're a certain age- that's another type

You're white- another type

Beard- another

Hair colour- type

In Wales- too far away for many people......type

Lots of tick boxes already, and that's before you spat your dummy over pretty much nothing- nobody likes a grouchy arse as a play mate.......as for the user name- that's never going to win you many friends. It's a bit juvenile matey, makes you sound like a 15yo who joined in the summer holidays for a laugh, or someone with little in the way of social skills with the opposite sex.

Might be time to rewind, relax and start again with a new profile

Op initial attraction with anything online is key.. all you have to go off is pictures and hope there as upto date as possible yes you can talk over messages ect but meeting in person is how you really find a spark but that's not going to happen if there's no attraction... and why can't some one have a type it's their preference it's what makes their heart race their mouth water for say.... so indeed I think that some one saying your not there type is fully acceptable....

Well OP, despite your rather bitter status about other people being stupid, I am afraid you have entirely contradicted your own point!

No-one is saying you ARE a type and therefore putting you the box you despise, on the contrary, they are saying you are NOT one!!!!!

Some things appeal to me more than others but I fancy all sorts of men. Only thing I know is someone who does NOT appeal to me at all is NOT my type, so it means exactly the same as NOT for me.
