most days I'm getting a text from my daughter asking to check that she turned her straighteners off...and every time I go in and look they are turned off.... but I still do it knowing there are burn marks under her rug from when she was younger and not quite so responsible

Looks like my "OCD" is fairly normal I find myself always checking the house door 2 or three times before leaving, and have realised that even though I may have just locked the car, as I'm walking away, usually give it another blip on the key fob just to make sure (which is silly as I've just locked it! )

I stay in a lot of hotels with my job. I always find that as I approach the door to leave for the first time, I always have to go back to the room and bathroom to check I haven't left anything.

Ref the straighteners

I got all the way to London on the train and thought I left them on

So I got the next train back to check

Now I take them with me so I know I haven't left them on

Towels - they have to put on the rail straight !!

Lots of little routines , routines for leaving or entering the house routines for the way I clean , routines for training the bed time routine... All of which I don't concider OCD more efficient ways to keep my place clean ..... Ok I have to hold myself above the toilet by my hands; feet off the floor and count back from ten , before I have a poo... But I assume everyone does that.

I am OCD and have to have all of my ornaments at certain positions and they need to all be symmetrical. I also have to flush the loo before I go, then go, flush the loo again and bleach it. Would say the worst thing for me though is the shopping. I might only need one of something but can't just buy one as again in my cupboards, I need symmetry. I also need labels facing dead straight. Sad bitch I am really lol x

I check that I have my keys on me at least three times before I leave the house.

My OH is really quite bad about some things though. When he makes his bed the sheet has to be perfectly smooth, the duvet has to be turned down at the top by about three inches, the pillows have to be plumped up... then I sit on it and ruin the whole thing

Oh i have that, i wash my hands 4 times for over 30s before i go to the toilet then do it after. For anything though i am always washing my hands. Got a thing about bad germs.

I always lock my bike up in the same place at uni, the same rack.

I triple check that my bike is locked properly, i can be walking away and i will suddenly go back to it because i think oh no did i lock it properly.

I count what all my shopping adds up to while queuing, i do it over and over again until i get served.

I have some things in certain places, if not i get pissed off.
