"I'm asking the hardworking oldies here If you start a second job as part time how do you go about setting up between your two employers the joint amount your earning and how much more you should be taxed on the second job? I'd imagine some sort of paperwork needs to go between the two companies. Thanks James." the inland revenue will give your second employee a taxcode to use which will reflect the fact that you have more than one job. Nothing will flow between the two companies only hmrc will know.

"Iv heard you pay more tax with 2 jobs and less tax for 3 jobs " The tax free allowance remains the same no matter how many jobs you have. The more you earn over the tax allowance the more tax you pay, again regardless of the number of jobs.

I worked in pub and shop as second jobs and got taxed on everything x

"I sometimes take work home from my 1st job and they pay me for it but I get taxed on that as well at 1/3rd of my extra work which ends up at roughly £3 an hour. But would I get a rebate on that eventually once it comes to the end of my tax year?" short answer yes it should balance out over the course of the year but you might find you owe tax or are owed a refund at the end of the tax year.

"I'd just like to congratulate you on on having the motivation and willingness to go out there and find a second job. There's a lot of people out there that can't be arsed to get 1 job. But just think the more jobs you get the more tax you pay which means them lazy twats keep getting what they want. But still well done mate." Was gonna private message you saying thanks but you've blocked men. But it's nice to hear the support.

"I have 2 partime jobs. I got my tax codes split. Between them so i dont pay tax at all. If you dont choose to split tax code. They can just charge emergancy tax and once have all your end off yr papers you can claim refund. I uded to use it as savings lol. " split coding doesn't increase the amount you can earn tax free. You will only not pay tax if the total from both jobs is less than your allowances.

This ^^ when I had two jobs, my overall tax was 8000 to begin with, so I got hmrc to split it 7000:1000 however, it can be split any way which is best for you
