I have a very close friend who tried to commit suicide last year due to ptsd.

He got offered no support from the forces only being given medical discharge, he moved home to his mums and saw no way out.

If only he could have had support like this, rather than fighting it alone.

His life recently has turned around yet it might have been so different like it is for many others.

Unfortunately a lot of people who need help do not seek it

"Unfortunately a lot of people who need help do not seek it "

Because they are not given the support to help them find the help and support they need.

I don't think a serving soldier should have to seek it! They should be a system ready tried and tested for them.

Often seeking help and getting knocked back gives them a bigger feeling of not being cared about and leads to a depression, anxiety, and in some cases suicide.
